Last night where were you all who say you want change? Last night we should have mobbed the place..instead there were only about 200 people. There should have been at least a 1000!!

I mean come on people ... IF we do not force change it is not going to happen.

I am sick to death of hearing we are understaffed, we do not have the money etc etc. YOU do not have any money because YOU let two bit business come in here and gave them a huge tax break! AND your still doing it!!

WE do NOT need anymore DOLLAR stores, we do not need another Walmart we do not need another liquor store ...and smoke shops?? WHY?

HEMET needs to realize people MIGHT live in Hemet BUT the Drs they see are out of town, they shop out of town to the "better stores".

I am supporting Gary Cook, Bonnie Wright, and Richard Crimeni. The are all people of integrity, and bring different points of view and experience to the council. They are not controled by John Petty like Youssef, Milne, and Coleman. Let's have some new voices and attitudes on the council.

I don't know why it says that I am from Moreno valley. I live and vote in Hemet.

Glen Holmes is very honest. He is not in any one's pocket and will clean up Hemet because Glen's a good guy. Vote for Glen.

Well this race is really between Youssef, Milne, Coleman, Wright and Crimeni. Cook and Avila don't understand Hemet at all and Holmes I know nothing about. Gary and Ricahrd are a joke. I like Bonnie and Rick they are the best two and I have not made my mind up on a third candidate yet. Maybe Holmes will be if I learn more about him.

If you want ypur taxes to matter, see your neighborhood's quality if life improve, or at least not continue to degrade, and are tired of the good old boy, get along to get along, politics (only lionized by Petty and his ilk, not invented) then you'll realize that as good of people as they are, neither Crimeni, Wright, or Milne (as if) can rise above their environmental conditionings.

It will take a Holmes, knight errant Toungate, or unwashed and naive buffoon as an Avila to disrupt the supply lines of power.

Sorry for the sad state of affairs, but it is what it is.

Milne=carpetbagging Tea-partier, Petty plant. How long has she "lived" in Hemet?
Avila=dreamer, hoping to change the FED at local level. Really?
Youseff=most likely a Petty plant. Tea party?
Holmes=not enough info.
Crimeni=resident, Hemet business owner.
Wright=local, familiar with grant-writing...
Coleman=no idea...no info available.
Cook=no idea...more research needed.
Holmes=no idea...more research needed.

If anyone knows where I can find more info on the "more research needed" or the "no info available" candidates, please let us all know.

Just my 2 cents.

Now, Shellie, oh Shellie...a pic of an olde English phone booth, and nothing else to say? Punk-rocker girl from the 80's turned "politician"? Nice website...BTW, some other folks running HAVE websites, some don't. You shouldn't, especially if you have NOTHING to say!

Based upon the "poll" here, I would say that Hemet has a chance of changing things for the better. Petty "puppets" out, Stone "influence" out. We can only hope the election goes as this "poll" has!
Hopefully soon, Petty will stop manufacturing the signs around town supporting his candidates...and then Hemet can vote with the conviction of their minds, instead of being FOOLED/BOMBARDED with BS props and signs.

I wonder if those Petty "signs" will ever disappear? Will anyone actually take them down, once Petty is defeated?

Don't worry, one way or another they will be gone. And so will Robert "Bobby" Youssef.

A previous article in the PE about milne mentioned that she has been a "resident" of Hemet since November 2011. The fact is that one has to be a resident of Hemet for ONE YEAR before filing papers to run for office. NOT one year from the election, but ONE YEAR from the filing date!
Anyone else catch this?

Technicallity...right? Not trying to "do anything nefarious", not trying to "weasel my way in somewhere"...milne said. Parks department resignor...

Yeah. OK. Sure, shellie. You keep on believing in yourself, K? Rock on.

poster, she lost he appointed seat due to that rule, but i think the rule for election only dictates residency on the day you get the paperwork from the clerk through election day. so after she loses she can quit parking her car at the place she's been leaving it and actually have her car with her all day/night in winchester where she lives.

I will check on it, but I think you have to be a resident for one year before you pull papers to run.

On Thursday October 11th at 6pm, there will be a rebuilding Hemet, City Council debate. All candidates are coming. 3 prepared questions on public safety, jobs and the budget will be asked, along with lighting round questions and questions from the audience. It will be held at Tahquitz High School. We need to try to fill up all 500 seats, to show we still care about the issues and this election!

Why has this been marked as "clueless" and "spam"? If this is an actual event, someone PLEASE let me know! I will attend, as I am sure lots of other people will!

I vote for "JUSTIFIED" this guy has the right idea. We need to get our own people Elected. And not someone who we can't even find any info on. I know "JUSTIFIED" ain't running but we need someone with his kind of spirit for this town.
