Is it dangerous for someone to walk around there by themself? I don't think I've ever been there. Right now am so spoiled by how safe it is in Murrieta/Temecula.

Escondido was fine if you stay near the shopping areas, but I wouldn't venture to far and I also wouldnt want to be there after dark. Its sad to see all the homeless ppl sleeping in the park.

Lake Elsinore is mostly unwalkable due to lack of sidewalks and there are a lot of shady ppl. No, I dont consider poor ppl to be shady...its just.. I rode the bus with this women who used to bus to drop herself off at different "clients" houses.. she was a very sad looking tweaker. And many more to be seen all around.

Hemet is fine if you stay near the mall during the day. I would be afraid to be there at night.

anywhere things happen!! some places more than others. however during house hunting we AVOIDED San Jacinto we read a lot of negative things as well as experienced them. we moved from fontana and hemet looked like another fontana and well San Jacinto seemed like the rialto of fontana area. i would avoid that area. lots of gang activity.

The biggest danger in San Jac are the crooked cops, aka RSO, and the sleazy city council members—both rip-off and do harm to the citizens. My advice is to stay away from San Jacinto and Hemet.

,

not to familiar personally with victor ville but from what we heard its an area with maybe "more" drama than other places. my dad who was a clothing salesman driving all over so cal for plenty of years actually FORBID us (end of discussion) to even look at what the area even had listed for sale. knowing my father is in the very up and up of decency, i strongly took his advice. therefor i dont remember ever seeing it in person that i can remember.
sorry i cant help more, but ya stay away from freaktana.its FULL of meth labs. and the town actually smells. thank God we got out of there. Sheriffs are crooked too.

For what it is worth, I’ve heard that the Riverside sheriffs who patrol in and around San Jacinto and Hemet are involved with meth/drug sales and child porn.

Check the murder/suicide of former sheriff’s detective Kevin Duffy. Also, the Lake Elsinore sheriff’s station is a hotbed of corruption. Check out the wrongful conviction of Herman Atkins: http://www.wrongfulconvictionscenter.com/wron...

Wrongful convictions happen everywhere though. How do you know they are involved with with "meth/drug sales and child porn." Meth is pretty bad in Lake Elsinore..Its sad and it makes ppl so ugly and child porn, if ppl who harmed children would actually be killed like, convicted then killed the very next day there would be a less of these creeps and perhaps a deterrent for future ones.

I read the story about H. Atkins and his wrongful conviction; it was not the result of a mistake. There was deliberate evidence tampering by the sheriff’s detective and RSO tried to cover it up and never disciplined the detective.

Duffy was involved with the PAL and the word was that he had been under investigation for some naughty stuff before he expired.

As for the drug dealings, well come on, that is old news.

SAN JACINTO IS NOW MORE DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF THE NEW CITY COUNCIL HAS A REPUTATION OF PROTECTING THE CORRUPT IN CITY HALL.
IT IS NOT SAFE AT ALL! CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE FEDERAL INVESTIGATION TO EXPOSE THE CROOKS THERE!

The federal investigation is over and the city is being sued...the crooked city and city attorney have already been exposed.

Why the citizens are not up in arms is beyond me, they have probably just lost hope as San Jacinto is a very sad community...few Christmas lights, Christmas decorations.

We used to go Christmas caroling during the season but you can't even do that anymore because of the corruption and crime in town.

Very, Very Sad :(

San Jacinto is not only dangerous, but it is against the U.S. Constitution, which makes it an enemy of the state.

Do not move there. And if you already have then leave as soon as you can for your own sake. The people can not even elect honest and decent councilmembers.

Tell us SJ Tiger, what do you love most about San Jacinto? Is it the increased number of homicides, the massive foeclosure rate, high unemployment, the inability for citizens to elect honest councilmen, the unethical acts at City Hall? Maybe I left something out of the lineup? You tell me.

San Jacinto is the oldest city in Riverside County. Riverside County was going to be named San Jacinto County until the city of Riverside started to grow faster and bigger.
San Jacinto is where Shirley Temple used to stop by and visit and stay at the Hotel. It used to have a resort next to the San Jacinto River until somebody put a damn up and created lake hemet.
San Jacinto has some niice new homes and still has outer land it will aquire and build a much nicer shopping center than the Hemet Mall.
Actually San Jacinto City Council wasnt all that bad they take care of the streets and are cleaning it up with the money they have.
There are a couple concerns I have about a particular group of people moving in from out of town that seem to not have a normal standard of living. But I cant control that problem on my own. There were no homicides until that particular group of people started populating san jacintos community.
Unlike Hemets city council San Jacinto has money. And whi cares if the city council allowed some houses to be built and got a kickback or discount. They built a nice gated community which only made San Jacinto that much nicer.
San Jacintos walmart compared to Hemets is better hands down.
San Jacintos Stater brothers compared to Hemets are better Hands Down.
Are there drugs in San Jacinto? Of Course but doesnt Charley and Lindsey also have drugs in there houses and where do they live? Hollywood Actors... So nice places have drugs this means San Jacinto cant be called bad because of drugs.
Does San Jacinto have street gangs? Of course but tell me where John Gotti lived wasnt he a Gangster. So street gangs dont make a place bad either. So it doesnt mean San Jacinto is bad.
Stndard of living thats the key. Check the demographics of a city and youll have a good idea of the standard of living.
San Jacinto is a majority of hard working citizens who want to live long lives and raise kids to go to college. Its a great town. Just tell your landlords to not rent to the wrong people. And tell the senors in the community to teach the youngsters about living a long life.

Your right my ex and his son did some shady stuff only to turn it around on me and police told me they have a very good chief who could manipulate a circumstance and have me charged for a crime i didnt commit but the other fools are still committing. I got out asap if you cant trust the police then there is no need for them...
