Jeez, what a couple of disresrectful idiots; even if they were teenagers at the time. Setting a good example for the then twelve year old boy too. I don't understand mindless vandalism; tagging for instance.

And since they're married now, these rocket scientists will probably reproduce. Scary.

What a contrast: these self-absorbed morons in their early twenties vs. responsible, disciplined younger Americans actively serving their country while in harms way.

I share the concern about reproduction.

Nah, doesn't sound as if there's enough brain material between the ears to be creative.

Mailbox baseball is one thing, its wrong, but its just a mailbox. To deliberately destroy or damage something like a person's headstone??? That's not just bored teens, that's some real degenerates at work.

Those two disrespectful jack-a-s-s-e-s should also be required after some jail to write letters of apology to every living member of the families of whose monuments they damaged.

Plus they should be forced to help physically maintain that cemetery for several years.

Maybe then they won't be bored!

You know a guy doesn't have a lot going for him when his alibi is that he was in jail at the time of the criminal activity (and that was a lie).

I just hope they have to pay restitution, enough to cover the costs of repair.(How do you repair a hundred year-old headstone?)

How many headstones did they tip over? Sentence them to that many months of digging graves in that cemetery. Maybe that'll teach them some humility and perhaps being forced to be around the grieving will teach them some respect.

If nothing else they will at least contribute something to society, because I suspect they aren't likely to be anything other than a drain on us from now on.

I see they tipped over 40 gravestones. 3.3 years of digging graves as punishment? Sounds fair to me.

Although I'm tempted to round it up to 4 years considering the age of some of the gravestones and the fact that they had a child with them.

I agree, then they will know the harm they caused first hand. But, I would add they would have to meet the surviving relatives and apologize in person and also pay for their damages they caused with interest.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
