Kera, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Stepfather was a gentleman, something that is too rare these days..as precious as you are, honey.

Sadly, it is us who that are left here that grieve, while your wonderful stepdad and Mom's husband is already in the Arms of Our Lord, and friends and family who have gone before him.

I am so sorry for you and your family's loss...God Bless, Kera.

I want everyone to know that where the accident occured there was no construction. The road played no impact in the accident. I was the second car on scene, and I was the first to give care. So everyone can say what they want, but it was just an idiot driver that took this innocent mans life.

Kera I am sorry for your loss, and if it helps, he did not suffer at all. I stood right there next to him from the time of the accident until the EMS arrived.

Brandon,
this is something that makes me happy.you not the accident. there should definatly be more people in the world like you. i commend you for the noble deed in providing care to the needy in times like this and god bless you sweetheart.

Kera,
well...i wish i knew what to say to you but i dont know if will do you any good. i lost my father, he had brain cancer. i was only sixteen years old. losing a parent is horrible, i know take it from me, i know. i watched my father go through pain for nearly six years. it was horrible. actually no.. horrible isnt the word. i'd word say tremnously painful. though he was put out of his misery, i was still so, so devastated. this is a true story i would not lie at a time like this. Sweetie belive it or not i lost my mother too. so here i am standing on my two feet, hurting but still standing. i cannot tell you tha you will forget, no you will never forget but it does get easier though. it does take time but it happens. let the happy memories of you and your father live on. do not dwell on the bad ones. people told me this with both of my parents but i only reilezed it when it was time to fiure it out on my own. Hopefully you'll take it from me, let him rest honey <R.i.p.> i know it was only yeaterday but just stick together with family you have now and never let good moments pas you by. you never know when they will come your way again.
best of luck to you i hope you take some of this to heart.
R.I.P.

I feel so sorry for the loved ones of the man that died I know their pain.

This road is an Abomination, Why canít they finish one section somewhere? They worked on a 30 foot span bridge for over a year. I could have built it by hand with stone and mortar faster and it would have been aesthetically pleasant to look at. The railroad replaced a bridge in a couple of days we have been dealing with this for years.

What most likely happened was that the guy that lost control of the rack truck was stuck in traffic for an hour to go 1 mile and was just trying to make up time in a careless and reckless many and lost control, maybe he had a vehicle malfunction that caused the accident.

I thought I was going to see another one this morning as a Subaru passed a Red Honda and forced a Mercedes and the Honda off the road in the same area,Ĺ mile north of yesterdays accident. The Subaru just stepped out to pass even though a car was coming. The Honda was behind a Pickup truck that was doing just over the speed limit. The Mercedes pulled over on the Shoulder but the car behind him did not so the Subaru just forced the Honda over.
The Honda got hot and you could see the road rage start to boil as the Honda was then trying to cut the other guy off and was following just off the Subaruís tail. When the Subaru turned onto Olmstead Hill Road the Honda followed. Hope it ended with out reading about that in tomorrows paper.

This road is making people crazy, each day I see something crazier than the day before.

This is so wierd,....whenever I'm on Rt. 7 I keep seeing cars everywhere I look. Why are there so many people following me all the time? And how do they know when I'm going to be on Rt. 7 in the first place?

Is this a joke? Are you really that stupid, or are you making fun of a very serious incident.

We are shocked to read the rude and obnoxious comments people have posted here. Kera is VERY REAL and she along with her brother and mother and Alfie's children and families are all devastated by the passing of Alfie. We have been fortunate to know Alfie for the past 4 years and can honestly say that we have never met a more loving, caring, or giving person. Alfie stood up for his beliefs and would give you the shirt off of his back. he was always there no matter what you needed. The world has lost a wonderful and very special man when Alfie was killed on Rte 7 yesterday.
To Kathy and their family.
Please know that your friends are all here for you and share in your loss and pain and we will always cherish the memories of the good times and keep Alfie very close to our hearts. We are here for you
REST IN PEACE OUR DEAR FRIEND GOD BLESS

You people need to grow up and get a life. Your comments belong on the newspaper obituary's website guestbooks, and NOT on THIS public forum that can be accessed by anyone from across the USA. Frankly, nobody but you and your family really cares about this "steppy" guy whatsoever -- except for the fact that this accident tied traffic up for hours and made a normally annoying commute even worse on a very hot day. Leave your comments in the appropriate places and get off this website if you don't like the remarks that are made.

THIS TOPIX FORUM IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOUR "REMEMBRANCES", YOUR "GRIEF" OR YOUR COMMENTARY.
