Now that the crack dealers have bonded out they can start right back to selling dope because the police didn't get the source.

The supplier of any drug problem is always the hardest person to get. A supplier doesn't sell to the average person, which what he would consider an undercover officer or an informant.

Well Mr. Blue Ranger, I was looking at another drug trial on openjurist.org that was in Ashdown, Ar. in early 90s type in Todd Edward Matthews and one of the same crack dealers that were arrested recently, Keith Burton testified against Matthews in the early 90s. He was the supplier(Matthews)maybe Burton will do the same this time after being popped with nearly 2 oz. of crack. Maybe the police remember he will sing like a canary. You are right the supplier has a whole lot more on the line than the street pusher. They are on the watch.

Sounds like Burton's testimony was held with very little value in that case...Burton may be held to a higher standard this time ...

So Burton's bond was lowered from 50,000 to 15,000, that is a mighty fine reward for selling crack to the users in Ashdown, with the sub par judicial system in Little River County anything is possible. Hopefully he gave some names of the suppliers like he did before and get them off the streets too. Maybe the rest of the pushers that are in trouble will go to the booty farm where they belong. Also does anybody know how Sheriff Russell's son stays out of jail after being caught once with meth and once with stolen property. Corruption maybe?

I know that's right. Russells kid gets outta every thing he does. I don't think it is nessarily corruption but it sure is favoritism on teh sheriff's part. Maybe some one will beat him in the next election. oh and joe jackson, every one is intitled to a bond reduction if ain't a volent crime.I dont see how you can say the judicial system is sub par. Wasn't that the same system that just gave some crack dealer 126 years in prison?

The 126 yrs in prison probably had a lot to do with the murder that took place at that location and the police thinking he provided the murder weapon. 126 yrs. sounds really out of the ballpark for crack, but it is a fact. Maybe the one that got a bond reduction turned in his supplier. He testified against Todd Matthews in early 90's. What I don't get is when a dealers track record shows they will start back to selling drugs after being busted why let them bond out, but you are exactly right the laws protect the criminals also and Russell's kid.

NO I believe the 126years was because of his long time association with the drug trade. they let them out because of your liberal leaders who consider drug dealing a non threatening society crime. Drug use and sales go hand in hand with nearly every other crime.
