In my opinion, this is an expression of frustration. Not saying it is alright.
In a way you are right. As a victim of bullying while teahers looked the other way, I am frustrated with this case where people think that these kids are lying just to get money.

It comes as no surprise whenever any charges are lodged against persons involved in sports. This is a sports crazed nation;special circumstances seem to be the norm. In another day and time the perpetrators and coaches would be held fully accountable for their actions. Sad...very sad for the victims and their families with the fallout they will receive from some people in the community.

I think that the superintendent should enforce the zero tolerance rules as stated in the handbook that was mailed out. The boys who committed the crime should be suspended for what they did even if the charges are reduced.

NO means NO and not "take it like a man". These victims shouldn't have to go to school looking over their shoulders for fear that they'll be targeted again.

Also, those in authority should be held accountable. Enough of the blame game. I am tired of the politics and red tape the BOE is using to make this go away.

Don't worry, if the superintendent and principals don't deal with this and similar bullying/hazing problems, then they are simply setting their schools up for more violence, perhaps even of a Columbine nature!

I hate to say it, but you are right. I have been thinking this from Day 1, but have too afraid to even say it out loud.
