RUN! I would never suggest working there. The patients don't get the care they deserve and the workers Nurses and Aides get treated like crap.

I just started recently and everyone seems like they are great but you people can be impressive at first then show there true colors but in defense I have work at other LTC places and in comparison I think the residents get taken care of and are treated great. But you all know you have a few bad apples that make us all look bad. As far as the NASR's (I find that title weird lol) or CNA's go they do a GREAT job from what I have seen and deserve to be respect for the tireless job they preform. So for those who don't like being there why not find another job if your not happy remember its a free world and your not required to stay there it is your choice.

some of the cna's are treated good and then others are treated like crap. the residents are taken care of really good. most of the aides are very good but you have some that you wonder how they got certified and why they still have a job. some of the nurses are lazy and wont help at all. they just sit behind the desk and watch the aides run their asses off trying to do everything that is required.

That place is a hole. They treat they aides terrible. They have them getting up a ridiculous amount of people in the mornings there and very little time to do it properly, they make people stay for double shifts if they are short as mandatory or they will lose their jobs, they all care more to gossip then to do their jobs. There are tons of clicks on the floors and they work the hell out of some while others are lazy and get by with doing little work during their shift. The nurses do not do patient care but sit up at the desks or on their carts while the aids run their asses off. It is horrible the way the nursing staff treat each other. That place is no where I would recommend anyone to work and thats why they can't keep help.

I have an interview at Thomson Hood Veteran Center. Can anyone tell me what the shifts are. Do you work weekends? I'm concern cause I go to class 2 days a week, and want to work here.

Thanks

Thomson Hood is losing employees left and right, why might you ask? Well its just like any other run organization in America, pay your employees like crap but make them do double work! 2nd Have you ever tried to get a job there its outrageous the hoops you got to jump and its takes 2 to 3 months before they hire anyone. Its a joke there!!!!
