I can't believe it took "anybody" this long to figure this out. Retired Sheriff "Lawson" did it for years, along with a whole lot of other law enforcement personnel. I'm surprised they've only arrested one. What about the rest of them? Run a poll in "The Winchester Sun" titled "Is your law enforcement crooked?" or "Have you bought drugs from a cop?" and see the replies you get. A few may be telling a lie, but the rest of us know the truth.

I agree. I am a long time resident here in Clark County and have grown up hearing about the things the twin brothers were doing. Serveral of my frinds were good frinds with many of the police officers working with them at the time and the stories they tell would astonish. The chop-shops, the drugs missing, the guns missing, the secret vaults in personal houses. All of it seems too unbelivable from an elected offical in a position of power and trust.

Look at Jessamine County! The ex jailer is a drug dealing, dick vacume type of person. The new jailer is stoned all the time and just as stupid. Everybody knows. The whole county is hooked on drugs. Frankie Hubbard and Cecil Moss.

I am so sick of everyone saying that about the Lawson brothers! They are very good people and have taken crap for years! If they were doing this stuff then where is the proof! I have always been taught that if you don't see it with your own two eyes then you should not believe it! No one is perfect and people make mistakes so in my book no one should cast stones! It is a bunch of jealous people who want to ruin peoples lives and be hurtful! Anyone that REALLY knows them knows that they are not like that at all! Gary would help anyone that ever needed it and really cared about the people in Clark County!

okay. I don't want to see anything about Brad Meyers on here. He is my cousin and yes he done something wrong but it is paying for the mistake he has made. He disappointed alot of people especially his parents and grandfather, but they still love him and go see him EVERY SUNDAY !! He will be out in May 2009. I am sure he will have a whole new outlook on life. Just leave him alone. We all have done things we aren't so proud of........

You know beenice, if BRAD was such a good fellow, my nephew might still be alive. Thanks to Brad and his pill poppin buddies I have lost a member of my family.
I hope that he has dropped the soap every day that he has been in there.
I hope that he will go visit jon in the Winchester Cemetery some time and tell him he is sorry.

Brad is a good guy that, due to unfortunate circumstances, made some horrible decisions. I don't know about the post by "Jons Uncle" but I'm sure that Brad had nothing to do with what happened. I can't wait for Brad to get out so that he can pick up the pieces of his life and move on from the mistakes he has made so far.

I am sure that the only thing that Mr. Myers will regret was getting caught. These dope dealers are destroying people's lives. They all need to be locked up. As for the Lawsons, there has never been any proof of them being into anything illegal. We just got over a corrupt, vindictive Republican administration and I am sure they would have nailed them if anything was really wrong. Enough with the rumors, folks.

If Brad wasn't friends with Brock Watkins, which he let Brock Watkins give a false identification on the Mt.Parkway. Jon would probably still be here.

He knew exactly what he was doing that night, and he let Mr.Watkins off the hook....

PLAIN AND SIMPLE that is the way it happened.

Maybe when he gets out, he will be a better person, he sure comes from a good family. I guess when you get hung up in Narcotics that is what happens.

Brad is probably taking it like a champ in the pooper. Serves him right. He has always tried to be the cocky bad ass deputy in Winchester. I wish more of the corrupt law enforcement officers would be caught and punished. I have never like Brad, for personal reasons, and it thrills me to see him behind bars. He was trusted by the citizens to serve and protect, but instead he was corrupt, dealt drugs and other illegal activities. But most of all, it tickles me to death that he wont be able to hunt anymore! Although one hell of a duck man, he cant own a firearm anymore, or hunt. HAHA Sorry bout you luck dumb ass - justice has been served. Hopefully his family buys him some hunting DVDs so he will have something to do while his old man and buddies are out shooting. Im sure he will wake up Christmas morning, like today, and he can run downstairs, since he still lives at home with his Mommy & Daddy and they will have bought him lots of toy guns and movies. HAHA Big Bad Ass Brad isnt anything now!
