If you go there be sure to schedule your rework appt at For the Love of Ink on Mulberry. Any of their amazingly talented artists will fix and finish what Quik Draw screws up.

Yes he was really nice. I did notice that the other place was open so my curiosity got the best of me. I went in and they weren't very friendly at all. Kinda felt like i was interrupting there day or something.I asked to see there work and the guy was like, are you getting a tattoo??? lol I will definitely stick with For the love of ink. They let me look all around the shop and stuff before i decided to get the tattoo work. Couldn't be happier.
Thanks again!!

I went to quikdraw by mistake thinking it was the other place. Guy was rude as shit! I asked if they new where for the love of ink is and they said they didnt know. THEN they wouldnt talk to me. I ended up leaving and someone at a gas station told me. LOL!! what losers! very mean and very nasty looking people.
I was already there and i might have gotten a tattoo if they would have been nicer. oh well. I am seriously glad I didnt. I love my ink. and I loved the people at for the love of ink!!!!!! they even apologized over and over for the other places behavior.lol

What a shame to hear that.

Don't know who owns or runs QuikDraw these days......

But here is some history from an old guy. LOL

QuikDraw Tattoo "use to be" a name that meant quality tattoo work back in the day!

Quikdraw has not been the same since "Stormin' Norman" AKA "Norm" stopped doing tats years ago.

He started Quikdraw in the early 90's in Hillsboro. Did well and opened a second shop in Wilmington. But the Wilmington shop was never very good because Norm did not tattoo there. He ran the one in Hillsboro & did his tats there.

Back in the 90's into the early 2000's Norm did some great tattoo work before he quit. And Quikdraw was one of the best shops in the area. The Hillsboro shop was at it's best when Norm ran it with another well known Chillicothe artist named Crazyhorse around 1999 to 2002 when I lived in the area.

I got many good tats from them both. As did my wife and many friends. All still look great! Almost all custom work as Crazyhorse was one hell of an artist that could draw anything. And both Norm & Crazyhorse were considered the very best around back then & they were. And both were very nice guys, who always treated you good.

Norm sold the original shop in Hillsboro on Main St a few years back to a young boy. Then sold the Wilmington shop later and retired from tatttooing I hear.

So it's just the name now days & not the original one in Hillsboro that use to have the good reputation in the old days.

I don't think the Wilmington shop was ever that good or had any really good artists working in it. Norm even shut the original Wilmington Quikdraw down at one point and it only re-opened later after he sold the Hillsboro shop. I don't know if the original owner - Norm, ever even did tats at the Wilmington shop or not.

I heard Norm went to driving trucks and is now out of the tat business. Too bad.... as even though there are zillions of shops around, good artists are still few and far between. It's still hard to beat a few of the original old timers. But a few are still around like Crazyhorse, Dana, Glenn Scott and others.

Crazyhorse is now over around Waverly-Portsmouth area but mostly has been traveling for several years. I still see him off and on and get work done.He still has a website up. www-crazyhorse-tattoo.com

My dad use to tell me stories about norm and some guys in the shop. norm is a good guy. he would have actually gotten along with the guy that opened for the love of ink which is where tainted was. the guys at quik draw are constantly bad mouthing and just being hateful. it is funny because they arent eve a little close in talent to those guys. that maz guy has ruined the name norm built and its sad. I say thank you to for the love of ink for bringing back the quality tattoo to wilmington. and have you been in that place???? super nice folks!!!! doesnt even feel like a tattoo shop at all! the owner of for the love of ink said to my wife and i, just compare for yourself. if you like there work, go there, if you like ours, come here. as long as the client is happy its all that matters. which is the way it should be! I know where my business will go!

LOL if they did mispell a tattoo, im sure it was a mistake and it happens to everyone. I had them do my 3 kids names and they did a great job. Everyone I know has gone there and there work is also as great. atleast all the guys at for the love of ink are artists. ive NEVER seen a good tattoo come out of the other place. they can mispell on me anyday. I know they would fix it and ide be happy. its wrong to hate on such a good place and good people. Like i said before for the love of ink is it. great work great prices and great people.

LMAO, is that seriously all you have? and now your calling ME names. its ok. I wont resort to you level. These guys stand behind there work. if they misspelled something oh well, cant hold one thing against them. you have to look at there whole body of work. they asked me 4 times if my kids names were spelled properly. you must really not like this shop for some reason OTHER than a misspelling of a word. Your probably a friend of the low life's down the street. they have always caused them problems. tell your friend its bad business to attack another shop. especially when all you have is a misspelled word. LMAO. grow up. also, everyone note that when I called you out on all you have is misspelling of a word you instantly attacked me calling me a retard. I rest my case. ;)
