The owner of N-Salon said the city didn't notify him about the ordinance, and that he learned about it through friends.

There will come a time, hopefully in the not too distant future, that the people trapped in the confines of Wilmington, N.C. will kick Saffo and company to the curb, and regain their freedom. Issues such as this, are too stupid to even discuss. The city should not have any say about how a business owner uses their windows. City leader logic: Tough economic times, stop business owners from using their own property to advertise, means they have to pay for advertising, means our friends in advertising make money, means our campaign donations keep rolling in. The leaders of this city scratch so much more than backs. This government has taken way too much control and needs to be downsized or eliminated. With all the problems of trying to survive in this economy, government officials should be doing everything possible to help business, not looking for ways to be a constant pain, and being the cause of wasted time and energy. Windows? Really? If this is all the city government has to do, EVERYONE in the county would be better off without them. Anyone know what process it takes to dissolve a city charter and free the conquered.
