I think Wilmington is horrible when it comes to the homeless. There's not enough shelters, definately not enough low housing and now this crazy city is trying to charge this woman because people decided to live there. Why doesn't the city just do it, bring out some of the prisoners and let them clean it up. There is absolutely NO reason this woman should be stuck with the bill. Wilmington just needs to get a grib!!

instead of making these homeless families keep moving on has any city ever stopped to realize they are human beings who need a helping hand? I think most of us are a paycheck and job away from being homeless.
Try helping these people. All of them are not alcies or druggies.

So, make sandwiches and pass them out with a bottle of water one day. Most people would do that much for a stray dog or cat. why not help a down and out hungry human?

They won't do nothing if you feed 1-2 people but if you try and feed a group of people.
There was a park that had to be shut down due to the homeless population that who live in it.
The homes around the park had severe problems with some of the homeless, drug users/dealers.

Not every homeless person is a druggie or alcoholic until you have walked in their shoes you shouldn't judge, I had it all 3 weeks ago I lost my job couldn't find another one couldn't pay my rent or elec I had to use what money I had to put my things in storage and gas for my truck I have a sm dog so I couldn't stay in any shelter, most I called were full anyway. Friends and family I thought I had well that was a joke, I have 3 weeks til I loose my truck and storage unit do you think there is any resources out there to help NO they just send you on your way with sorry I can't help you. If I ever get back on my feet I will do everything I can to one day operate a facility to help those in need. I was one that said it wouldn't /couldn't happen to me well it took 10 days for me to find out It could and it did. Be careful when you walk down the street and see a homeless person with a back pack and you cross the street to avoid that person, because one day you may be that person and realize all that person has in the world is whats in their back pack.

I agree with you, the prisoners assault , kill and deal but still have a roof over their head , food, visitors, tv cable etc. Maybe a little less amenties for prisoners and a little more help for the homeless. If they had a community of homeless ppl shouldn't that tell the city theres a problem. Not only are their not enuff shelters in Wilm or anywhere for that matter, they must leave during the day with all their belongings from 8 am til 5pm. and they are suppose to go where for 9 hours, in the cold, in the rain, if they are sick it doesn't matter.
