Bring it back for ALL killers, not just cop killers.A cop is no more special than anybody else.
Look at that little infant in Lawrence yesterday, 2 months old and her father shook her to death. He already served time for assaulting a little girl.
That guy is the lowest of pond scum as far as I'm concerned.

God bless the Maguire Family. Let's hold these people accountable for the crime they commit. This idiot should be still sitting in the 4 by 8 cell with nothing but a book. Instead he was given freedom to rob and kill.

Even if he wasn't we shouldn't blame Officer Maguire for his own death. We should be blaming the scum that murdered him.

Maybe we should bring back the chair for the members of the state parole board also. Those scumbag liberals let Ofc. Marguire's killer out of prison and were ultimately responsible for his death.

Damn all of us for not using our voices enough. If we publicly showed how we feel more, these politicians would get a clue and do some changing to get our votes. I'm not just slamming you, I myself am guilty of just sitting back and complaining when something like this happens.

Someone is voting the idiots back in every time. I guess I don't understand the meaning of life in Ma, someone enlighten me! This ahole shot at someone every opportunity he had escaping twice. I have read a lot of conflicting stories, but one stated for the first 25 years he was not a good inmate and was still getting drugs.

All untimely deaths are sad, regardless of their job or why they died. I am just as sad that Jim Diapola died. The survivors are the ones who have to suffer and the suffering is as bad or worse for that family than for this officer.

Death is sad, especially when there are loved ones left behind.

Guess what Massholes....you all have blood on your hands because you vote these politiacans back in again and again and again but never learn from your mistakes, you just sit around and complain complain complain about the same old same old. The very people who were supposed to have Officer Macguires back are the same people who let him down. My heart goes out to this great man and his family...hopefully this can serve as a wake up call that the joke that is Massachusetts needs to change.

How the hell does someone serving three life sentences even have a chance at parole. This country and system is so pathetic. Very sad for this family I hope the parole board is very proud of themselves.

No blame for this awful tragedy... The vest question has not been addressed. My hope is that he was and it wouldn't have mattered.

I blame the two parties for this one, the idiot lawmakers who do not manage the system properly and the idiot unions in this state that drive costs up across every state dept budget. This allows for state budget woes to impact parole decisions. Many scumbags walk the streets on parole because money issues set them free early.

While I do believe in the death penalty you must realize there are higher crime rates in states where it is used. It doesn't reduce violent crime, but the offender will never do it again. One theory is offenders don't hesitate to use deadly force against officers if they feel they face execution if captured.
