Rep. Miceli got the better of Marchese, who was on the defensive for most of the night. At one time Marchese was about to turn purple. He can only hope that one day he might have the resume of Rep. Miceli.

Wht our country needs is TERM LIMITS. NO ONE should be a carrer politican. And when there 2 terms are up no "GOLDEN PARACHUTE". You go into the DREADED PRIVATE SECTOR. They just as Douglas MacArthur said "I now close my military career and just fade away" Just change military to political. But guess who would need to vote that in. That's right those who are career politicans. Fat chance of that happening.

It's time for a country wide change.

What's a carrer politician? Most times I would agree with you on term limits, but Jim Meceli is a rare exception to the rule.

Jim Miceli is an uncouth, crude little man who acted like an unstable schoolyard bully at the debate. The district deserves better than gutter insults from a tired incumbent who sounds like an uneducated goon. Time to go Democrat hack.

As much as i dislike miceli, i can not vote for Marchese based on the fact that he does not support casino's in mass and would rather let the money go to CONN and RI...

We've had enough. The little twerp has got to go. He's an absolute embarrassment. I'd vote for PeeWee Herman before I vote for Miceli ever again.

Mario sounded nervous. Jim sounded stressed.
Mario knows his stats. Jim knows his people.
Mario speaks too fast. Jim speaks too angry.
Mario spoke to the independents who will watch this debate on cable tv.
Jim spoke to his fans in the hall and gave a show for those who already have his vote.
Mario looked like he could be a state representative and do a good job.
Jim looked like a state representative whose work has made him mean-spirited and pompous.
Mario looks kept to the time limits.
Jim rambled on past the time limits to embody both determination and a failure to realize when his time is up.

In an already struggling economy having the casions built in iut own back yard is a non sustainable project. They offer no long term growth prospects and only take more disposible income from people who cannot afford it. Like all big projects the labor unions only support it becuase hey have temporary jobs while the constructions goes on and they wait for the next bi thing to come along. The commonwealth needs long term stable job growth that has value to the consumer. Casinos are in the busines of taking money in and not giving money out

Jim Miceli did not get money for the Wynn Middle School. It was funded through the formula that is applied to all school buliding projects. The Tewksbury State Hospital is filled with drug addicts, criminals and provides no significant source of revnue for the town. It right up there with the Caswell. With the amount of ambulance runs over there it probably costs the town more money. The state used it as a dumping ground when they closed Danvers. If the residents knew that some of the patients have committed henious crimes, which is why they are locked up in the D-4 unit, then mabe they would not be so keen of haveing it right next to the library.

I've lived in Tewksbury for over 12 years. In that time Mr. Miceli has fully represented my town and has been a visible & engaged representative throughout those years. Even though I'm a Republican and will vote 95% Republican, I will and always have supported Mr. Miceli, who I believe is an Independent voice and representative.

Some resume. In the worst depression/recession since 1929, he has proven by his voting record that he is NOT pro business and pro jobs.
Rep. Miceli received a score of 50 out of 100 on the Associated Industries of Massachusetts 2009-2010 scorecard on economic, job and business growth. His voting record on business issues is horrible.

I suggest to you that he is the LIAR.

see Page 4 for the Scorecard and check out how your Rep. was graded by the business community.

Hey casinos in mass,
have you ever been to foxwoods or mohegan sun or twin rivers in RI....the MAJORITY of license plates at those places are from mass....so i guess you think its better to have people travel out of state, spend there money there and mass gets nothing for it. I think its much better to have them keep the money in the state and get 100's of millions of dollare a year from the taxes the casinos will have to pay, Besides the fact of the PERMANENT JOBS the dealers and floor people and hotel and function people will have at the casino's. People spend money regardless if there is a recession or not, its better to keep in in the state then letting it go to others, doesnt matter if you are a gambler or not. This has nothing to do with gambling and everything to do with job creation and taxes

Consider this a warning: Marchese knows how to talk a talk and that is about it!!! Are you all kidding me in support of him. Look at his private life, if he cant keep that together he definitely cant keep together the good of two towns. Miceli is right, all he is is a resume builder. The sons of italy, the shriners, the conservation committee (with that he was a hipocrit), the school committee and now this! Please!!!

It sounds as if more debates are needed. Too bad this wasn't done months ago, the issues may have been cleared and we could move on to hearing policy and opinion rather than rhetoric, name calling and mud slinging.
