Sleazy Move By The Massachusetts Lottery

I recently won a thousand dollar scratch ticket. I filled out the form at the Lottery office in Woburn. On the form, they asked for my email, so I gave it to them.
Within three hours of filling out that form I was innundated by spam emails all related to financial services. I received over ten spam emails that first day, and I contunie to get three or four a day.
Is the Mass Lottery really so hard up they need to sell their customers emails to spammming services? What an underhanded and shitty move.
If I had been a million dollar winner (or more) would they have shared my email address with strangers?
What the hell is wrong with these people?

I'm surprised that they would stop so low. That reflects negatively on their integrity.

A month after I gave the Mass Lottery my email I had over 700 emails in my spam folder, all related to financial services offers.
Thanks Mass Lottery, you pains in my ass!
