I was sickened seeing this news story. i have an autistic son who is 16. i have taught all my children to respect the police. my wifes father is a 30 year vet of sandiego pd. these officers who commited this act should be fired and prosucted to the fullest extent of the law. they are a disgrace to all the good men and women in this great nation who wear a badge.

Again another case of over-react now and ask questions later! This is sad that no one would listen to this autistic boy (clifford) but what about when his brother appeared and spoke on Cliffords behalf explaining that he is a special needs person? thats twice the police officer did not let the facts interfere with his personal agenda! my God what do we have to do to be treated as individuals with different cases and situations? Are law officers only committed to keep the peace (ha-ha) with un-peaceful measures? SHAME on the police chief with the "what seems to be un unapologetic apology." A little too little too late....Hope all involved with this somewhat of a cover-up get what they DESERVE!
