This is only important if the voters are too lazy to read the whole ballot - which sadly is the case in America all too often. Informed voters will read the whole ballot and vote for the one they feel most qualified.

Darla won't have a chance of becoming Mayor. Let her have the glory of being first on the ballot because that is as close as she will get for Mayor.
Seems legit

I for one hope people who would just vote for the first name on the list realize that is a waste of their time and don't vote at all.

I'm not pleased that one of the week's other articles, regarding the court case about the severance packages given by the previous administration, doesn't mention that two of the names running for mayor are responsible for that mess. Why either of them think they should be allowed back into any sort of office is beyond me.

I not the biggest supporter of Orr, but he has done a better job than any other of our mayors in recent memory, and is the no-brainer choice when compared to the other three candidates.

I made sure my name was #3 on an election ballot and sent out mailers that peoples intelligence shouldn't be insulted by thinking if your name is first you have an advantage. It worked and I got elected. I hope Dawn doesn't get too comfortable by being listed as first when in reality she stands a really good chance of finishing last....
