Can anyone give me some feedback on this restaurant? We have a group of friends that go out every Sunday to try different restaurants. We have tried Chrome Rack in Diamond and Haydens in Wilmington now looking at trying this one in the next few weeks. Or any other suggestions of restaurants in the area would help. Thank you.

Well... you can go in there if you like carpeted dining rooms, rude servers, and mediocre food.

I don't think I would call the food mediocre. That's being way to kind.

How is that sad? There are many fine chefs of Mexican descent.

The dinner specials are great, but they don't start serving them until too late in the evening for alot of families.

This place is mismanaged and employees come and go as they want. There's a definite problem with the meal being and looking the same every time you order it. Ya sure can tell that the so called "owner" has never owned a restaurant!!

Used to go every now and again, but got tired of eating so late to get the really good meals. Food is good every time and I enjoyed eating there. Didn't find overwhelming crowds however. If they had a better location and earlier specials they would double their business and I would probably go back more often.

I think Michelle's has really good food. It's a small town and the restaurant has that small town feeling which is really nice. Servers treat u like friends and not just customers. Food always great. Dinner specials start at 4 which is dinner time in most family households and specials are always delish. Out of all the restaurants in town Michelle's is the best hands down. And I know the Chef at Michelle's and he come up with food ideas and choices I've never heard of but have tried and have been pleasantly surprised. As far as him working at Haydens yes he did a while back and the Jason I stopped going is because the food tasted tasting horrible. I stopped eating at Haydens because the food and service and then I realized it was because the former chef had relocated to Michelle's so whoever took his place at Haydens isn't doing so great because the food there now sucks. All I know is I like eating at a restaurant where the food is amazing and unlike other restaurants and that feels like eating at home and I like being treated like a person and friend and not just a customer who tips and those servers are busting their butt to make sure I'm a happy customer and will go out of their way to do so and that to me is quality. I would highly recommend Michelle's for the dine in experience or catering. Both are amazing

No no no Haydens was not able to train someone to take the old chefs place because whoever is cooking at Haydens clearly did not take lessons from the amazing chef at Michelle's because Haydens food is horrible now since the old chef left. Just saying.

All I have to say is don't knock it til u try it because it's really good food. Totally different from the other family restaurants in town. Good food comfortable setting it gives u a homey type feel. It's very nice. I'm one of those people that has to see for myself and I did and so glad I did. I have a new favorite restaurant and so close to home.

The food is good, the portions are good, but it's a bit expensive. I think they could work on the prices a little bit.

The prices are a tad high, but considering the quality and quanity you get it well worth it. Go to a nice place in Joliet or farther north and you will pay this much and more for this quality. Think too - you are saving on gas and shopping locally. Which is often hard to do because of prices.

It is not the owners of the name, it is the man who owns the building, Mr. Shell. As a matter of fact, I think that whole complex should be torn down. No one will do anything in this town to modernize it. I see now we have a gold store for people to sell their gold at. What's that say about Wilmington? Michelle has great food there. Yeah, the place needs some work, but that isn't her fault. It is Sippi Shell's. I believe Wilmington is on it's way out the door anyway. Once the highway is built and the rail yard is complete, people will start to locate elsewhere. I know I will. As for Michelle's, I give it one and a half thumbs up.
