Early Saturday morning a 14 yr old kid from Wilmington stole a car and was chased by the Braidwood K-9 unit into a cornfield in Braidwood. Does anyone know any more about who it was and the reason?

stole a car

You answered part of your own question. As for the name, if they were 14 you can't see it in the papers.

Yea, but who was it, where did he get the car? Where were his parents? He just received a slap on the hand and got to go home to his parents.

What a noisy B the kid was 14 the person was right they don't even put the name in the paper. Was it your car, I don't think so. He is being punished I am sorry that the boys sister felt she had to satisfy you by telling you who he was IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS UNLESS IT PERTAINS TO YOU but now you can play big shot and trash this child and his family, you are real piece of work . To the family of the boy please don't let anything that is said on here get to you and you do not have to give busy bodies any more info your brother I hope everything goes ok for your family.

Why would you take the side of and defend the criminal? I'm concerned about the Wilmington resident whose car is damaged or totaled, affecting their insurance, how they got around till everything gets settled and how much they were put out. Why? Because someone stole their property. The kid is a thief, that is not 'trashing' a family, it is a statement of truth. If he is being tried as an adult it is because of his repetitive criminal history not because of any vindictiveness against a 'child'. I hope he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law and suffers loss of freedom, embarassment, and resultingly, regret for his actions. Stop protecting the criminal and show some empathy for the victim.

Oh let us not forget about Matt Campus. That dirt bag is going to be 18 when he gets out. That is to be this year by the way.cj croarkin was involved in the missing items in our home. Where are our things, the boy is gone, and so is our life. We have had to replace expensive items, and documents that were in our safe. All had to be replaced. I say I feel for you brother however he is old enough to make his decisions you should disconnect and love him from afar. Unless you condone his actions. I can't imagine that. As to Matt Campus. LOCK YOUR DOORS!! Noone is safe. I say the best place sad as it may be for these kids is.... Jail. Especially if they have had extensive background in thieving and drugs. Did you know they go hand in hand right?

I want to know who the bad seeds are!
I want to know who to keep my kids from!
I want to know if their living in my neighborhood!
I want to know who not to invite in to my home!
Usually theres not a story without some truth!
We need more people out there watching and telling whats going on.
You can't blame all parents for their child's actions a parent can only do so much, after all it is illegal to lock your child up in till the age of 18!

I agree I need to know..
1.Where they are
2.Who they are
3.Where they live
I do not want want to have them come into my home. I need to know who my children are playing around. If you have a problem with that then that is on you and that is ignorant. Forewarned is forearmed.

I know these things because they happened to me. period.

Who's child did I bash? Matt? Are you serious? The best place for that boy IS in jail. Atleast now you know that your houses WILL be safe. I am telling everyone because they need to know. I bet dollars to doughnuts that when the boy gets out the thieving will start again. Dont come whining to me about how unfair it is. This is what our community is suppose to do. Look out for one another. It wouldn't be so bad if the boy made one mistake, okay... but the boy has gone over and beond one mistake.

NO Sharon!! I NEED to worry about the juvenile criminals who are stealing, robbing and breaking laws in MY neighborhood and city. I don't worry about the children who are playing sports, studying and not making 'dumb mistakes'. It seems to me YOU SHOULD be worrying more about the criminal activities of your family and associates. And you are right, I have a LOT to do besides bitch about other peoples kids, but unfortunately I have to spend time trying to protect our kids, neighborhood, home and city from criminals.

I think we need to go back to beating our kids again. I never would have done things like this when I was a kid because my father would have beat my ass. That kid doesn't deserve jail time he deserves an ass whoopin

Oh yes, I need to know names. I made that mistake once - not trusting things I heard about two seventh grade boys - and ended up with the little bastards nearly destroying our family.

Yeah, there are a lot of rumors that go around...but there's also always some truth behind them. Drugs, stealing and even gang activity (influenced by the Latin Kings in Kankakee) are going on right under our noses. There are kids in middle school selling pills (Vicodin and the like). Open your eyes folks.

Yeah well the kid might only be 14 and its a shame that his sister felt she needed to defend him but the kid is a punk he steals bikes robs houses does drugs and those are just the things we all know about and he is ONLY 14 what does this town have to look forward to with him at this point. Maybe someone should get this kid under control before he does some real damage to himself or others, then no one would have to defend him and tax payers wouldnt have to continually pay for him to free legal help

Yeah they robbed me also and we never got our items back either, well at least not any of them that were the important ones. Mis guided is one thing completely out of control and no regard or respect for people and what they have worked hard for all there lives is another. They stole things from me that money cant replace and its just sick to hear people defend these poor mis guided kids get real.
