Man shot by officer charged in incident

A 25-year-old Wilmington man, critically wounded by police fire late Saturday after he allegedly pointed a gun at a city officer, was charged Monday in the incident.

The man shot, if the allegation proves to be true, is fortunate to be alive. Pointing firearms at law enforcement personnel is not conducive to longevity. This is as plain and simple as I can state it...
