I feel so awful and sad for anyone and everyone who's losing their jobs. Especially in this environment. Best of luck to all of you.
Still, what if you have furniture you havent' received? What do you do?
Sorry

Hopefully you charged it on a major credit card and if it does not arrive you dispute the charge. If you paid cash, you might be in trouble because!

This company will not be the only one going out of business this year for certain. It's gonna be a very tough year.

Wickes chose to expand at the wrong time. It's a shame that no one saw the signs and had the wisdom to forcast better and plan a more deliberate pattern of growth.

This company knows how to eliminate their debts. File banckrupcy similar to what they did in the 80s. eliminate as many jobs as they can will get the big bosses big bonuses. history repeats itself, at least at wickes.

Wal-Mart has made hundreds of billions of dollars doing what they do. In fact, they are the largest retailer in the world.

Nothing wrong with working hard and being successful, which is what Wal-Mart has done. If Americans weren't so lazy and didn't expect a handout from government for everything, maybe we would be able to compete more easily on the world markets.

Poor Wickes. Maybe it has to do with the $189.00 5'X8' rug I purchased in November, and the $499.00 rug they delivered. Their bad...my gain. Sorry I didn't speak up further.

True story.

If it were just a matter of working hard and being successful. Do have issues with companies like wally world who have well-documented histories of not being good corporate citizens. Would much prefer to see Wickes succeed than support walmart.

I'm sorry...I'm making light of a serious situation. I'm thankful my job is secure. For the time being anyway.

And good luck to those who are facing unsure futures.

Shane - you must really be in sad financial shape if you need to steal an area rug.

Sorry, Do Shane, but your rug is more than likely worth a lot less than what you actually paid.
