Who could blame the Unions for killing the Christmas Dreams of children across the area? Extortion works best when the Pain is greatest. Causing pain to children at Chrismas makes it all the more luscious for the heartless Unionistas.

Only making two to four times as much as workers doing similar jobs in the Private Sector is unacceptable. Greed and Extortion define the Unions in California. Nothing is beneath them.

It's not about money or benefits in this case Boob. It's about keeping the jobs at the port and not outsourcing them like most all other industries do. We believe in keeping American working. And I bet you would love to make the good living we do, don't lie

If you work for me and refuse to come to work, you get fired and I hire a replacement. End of story. And for all the trolls who will post ignorant responses, yes I actually do hire and fire people.

Number one we are not getting payed while striking, second we are used to getting replaced by someone else that wants to work, bottom line is that job always gets done. There is nothig wrong wit protecting our jobs. If you outsource your work you don't deserve to do business in America. We get paid well because we are good at what we do and get the job done that is why the employers dont't complain what they pay us.

You want to see greed, read some U.S. history pre-unions. Horrible work conditions, and workers brutalized for merely wanting a minimum of improvements. With the middle class disappearing and the rich getting richer, plus right-wing neanderthals trying to do away with unions, the country might be heading back in that direction. The good news is righties cant seem to get it together enough to win elections.

I saw an article on a conservative website today stating that the 1% are still getting richer, and the middle class was getting paid less and less. They tried to blame it on liberals, yet liberals have been saying and working against this this for years. They also said the prez is a "commie" because of rich people getting richer. Are right wingers really THAT stupid?

You can apply at either the city of LB or the city LA harbor departments. If you are looking to be a longshoreman forget it, PMA and ILWU won't be hiring from the street any time soon. You'll just have to keep your poverty paying job. Sorry

My employees never leave, because they like working with me. I was simply stating that if someone does not come to work, they do not have a job. Period.

...and yes, I enjoy what I do. I provide an excellent, well paying work environment and mentor and develop my employees. If they go on strike and don't come to work, they are out and someone else gets to take their place.

Don't worry, Bruno. ICE will be raiding SP and Wilmington really soon so don't be out on the streets because you might get caught...

The Arbitrator deemed the Strike Illegal but, as always with the Union Mobsters, they ignored the ruling and said they had all the power in Calif and the rule of law doesn't apply to them. The Unions are right. After the Nov election, 2/3's of the State Legislature are now Union Funding Hacks who pretended to be Democrats at election time. This only proves that today's Californians are too stupid to handle self government. Pathetic people made pitiful choices which led to Taxation without Representation for ALL Private Sector Workers and Employers in the State.

Believe me Boobie, there is nothing illegal about the strike. The clerks have been working without a contract for 30 months. Glad to hear you are a good employer and treat your employees well, that is how it should be. We too get rid of those who don't perform and abide by the playing rules. No outsourcing of jobs ....

The Court appointed Arbitor deemed the Strike action ILLEGAL.

Touche. Shame about Christmas for the children whose toys will be left sitting at the Port but we all must lose this Holiday Season for the Unions to be happy and content.
