a lot of illegal things done in RG but everyone looks other way.
the residents of RG allow this to happen Nobody reports the library real estate probperty and now the shooting-it should be reported to the states attorney's office. the village even controls the newspaper. you need to get some state and federal agency involved RG would not have any clot.

I recently learned that two people were attacked in River Grove; one of the two was shot. This shooting apparently happened somewhere near River Grove School. The River Grove Police Dept. appears to be keeping this information from the public. During yesterday's Oktober Fest, I asked a police officer who was crossing pedestrians about the incident. He stated that the "Incident is under investigation" and "That's all he can say."
There wasn't even a report about this shooting in the Elm Leaves.
The public has a right to know if shootings are happening in River Grove!!
I know the two parties involved.. There was NO holdup, robbery, attack or anything of that nature. It is just old age, old habits, bad & very old procedures that no one has provided security in decades. This couple has been involved in this community for decades. They have had responsibilities for decades and no changes have even been looked at to that day. This is what happens when everyone takes village procedures for granted.
Long story short this neighborhood is still safer than many around us.

Yea... I hear everyone is dipping in to the old pot. What about the library board letting some friend of theirs sell their old books online and he gets to keep the money for himself. The money being made selling the librayrs old books should go back to the library... That is what the friends of the library do... this is illegal..... selling someone elses books and you keep the money for yourself... That is robbery... Ahd the library board brazenly go along with it.. and make up some story it is for the community. BS... no paper were ever filed with the IRS for not for profit status. Bunch of thieves if you ask me.
