So going to church will make me like you? If you were Job, you would have already failed. You are telling others to get religion while paying no attention to the lessons we all learned as early as Sunday School. What a joke
Here is what I think: you and jailmaish are from or are the Devil. There can be no other reason for your hate mongering and harsh judgment of another human being. Maish needs to answer to the courts and to God - sure as hell not to either one of you bozos
You are aware that some posters like WaywardDaughter get really mad when you guys try and take me off topic.
Are you saying make me like you as in friendship or as in two of a kind ?
LOL i don't really need your friendship and trust me you couldn't be as cool as me if you spent the rest of your life trying.
I don't know anyone comparing themselves to Job so why would i ?

I never told anyone to get religion. I told him to go to church so he could learn what it was he was trying to talk about.
Its obvious he has no real religious knowledge.

As a former sunday school teacher i wonder if i ever taught you ? If so you really didn't pay much attention in class. Too bad.
Yes i did teach sunday school for several yrs as well as being an Elder which in itself was a full job, and running the church newsletter ( writing articles, doing its layout, printing it, mailing it ) But my best memories in church was watching my daughter grow in faith. My saddest was seeing my wife laid out in her casket in church.
So i do take religion very seriously.
Its sad when guys like you would use religion to take cheap insults at people. It shows your true lack of faith.
I do hope both you and that other poster go to church and learn the real meaning of God. Here's a clue its not using insults in his name.

Oh dear Lord, you give all Christians a bad name. You are the poorest example of a Christian. It is people like you that claim to be a Christian and say things that would turn anyone away from the church. I will pray for you.

Well this just made me sick to my stomach, and thankful that my children did not attend Sunday school in Fox Lake.

How dare you call yourself a Christian, teach children the Bible, and say the horrific things you have said about another child of God?

Yeah, and evidently he was a Sunday school teacher too. Isn't that special?

Actually i didn't say which church or which town and i won't say.
But i will say it wasn't in Fox Lake.
Jesus wasn't accepted by the jews so i don't care if you accept the fact that i am a christian or not.
It how God feels about me and i let him make that decision not you.
I've said nothing bad about any child of God in fact i tried to encourage two people in here to go to church.
How many did you encourage ?
Anyway back to David.
I think he belongs in jail for at least 35 years.
And while he's in there maybe he can learn about God.

Yawn just another off topic cheap shots.

Back to David and his Bistro. Its too bad that owning a successful bar makes him popular enough that people over look what he actually did.
He got drunk and killed a guy.
He got a super light sentence.
Anyone else would have been doing serious jail time.
Please keep you comments on that because that is what this thread is about.

Actually, this thread is about the Bistro! Love that place. As a Christian, I certainly would not dare judge someone who has already been judged by God and the courts. In other words, none of my business. I find it sad that someone else who calls themselves a Christian thinks it's their business. You certainly don't go to my church. Can't wait to go to the Bistro this week and give my support to David.

Matthew 5:22-24 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says,‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Matthew 7:1-5 ESV
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother,‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

James 4:11-12 ESV
Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

Over the years ( in spite of my dashing good looks i'm older then you realize ) i've belonged to several churches.
Add to the fact to educate my daughter i spent the summer months when she was out of sunday school visiting numerous churches many of them outside my own faith.
I wanted her to make up her own mind about religion.
I'm proud of her eventual choice.
Point is i might very well have been to your church if its in Lake County or upper Cook county. If you were a real christian that wouldn't bother you at all. Everyone is welcomed in a christian church. The fact that you would be bothered shows your lack of being a true christian. You need to rethink your statement. Shame on you if you would turn away people.

Now as for David and his Bistro. I've posted about both more then you and your friends have.
In fact all you guys only post about me almost never about his Bistro. Go ahead look back and you'll see i'm right.
All you have is hate towards me. How unchristian of you.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

if you really were a christian you would have spoken out about their language in a FAMILY friendly forum.
But the truth is you're not a christian you're one of them hiding behind a few bible quotes thinking that makes you a christian.
Clean up the act of your friends.

In the meantime i'm hoping that David cleans up his.
Because the courts sure didn't clean him up.
