Are our streets any safer now that all the harmless pot heads are safely behind bars? This is ludicrious.Pot should be legal. Its harmless to those who use it and medicine to those who are ill. They used the pot heads in Malone to make this bust appear larger than it was. Pharmasuticals and weed shouldnt be in the same catagory one is a plant one is a oragn damaging chemical. Funny weed is medically legal in 12 states..whats the big deal? Arresting the potheads may give the illusion to the public that there is no weed around and that the cops did a wonderful job. But the drug war is a dismal failure..it cant be stopped . Prohibition only makes this plant worth big bucks and with no employment in Malone ..what do you exspect? Alchohal was blackmarket goods not so long ago ..and now bars are everywhere. Pot will be available also in the near future. For medical at the very least.

my personal opinion is that they should worry more about keeping the drunks off the road then busting on people who choose to smoke dope. i,m not a user ,but is drinking alcohol any better?statistically how many deaths are alcohol related, statistically how many deaths are marijuana related, what about smoking cigarretes statically how many deaths are there related to smoking.isn,t cancer one of the most leading causes of death?think about it

Spitzer says he will sign the bill, we are closer to medical legalization than ever before. Maybe the government realizes now .."Hey now there is more money to be made in cancer the cigeretts and other global pollutants cause." .."We wont find a cure ..that would lose money!".."We can make money selling cancer patients weed for the pukes, its a win win proposal!" That's what its all about...to the government As long as the sick get their right to herbally medicate ..It's okay by me.

My take is we should make allot of the major drugs legal although i don't use drugs myself just think how much money the congress people we elect that get kickbacks from drug manufacturers and dealers will lose and all the drug cartels will lose if you make allot of them legal just make sure they are considered prescription drugs and allow only doctors to issue them.

Great idea except for the prescription part. Why give the Greedy Physicians and Pharmacist the Legal Pushers of Society any revenue? Legalize-Tax-State Distribute all Recreational Drugs. If you are an Adult and have Proper ID you should be able to purchase the mind altering substance of your choice, just like alcohol and tobacco.--Eliminate all -Free- Methadone Cliinics and -Free- Drug Re-Hab,-FREE-Housing and Income for Addicts. If you are given the INDEPENDENCE to buy and use,not abuse, drugs then you should accept responibility for your own re-hab if you do abuse them. When you cut out the funding for-Drug Abuse-,making people accept responsibility for themselves and their actions problems will take care of themselves. If you quit feeding rats ands roaches they disappear..
