This is so sad...I just don't understand how anyone could hurt a baby like this. This guy is probly going to deserve more than he gets.

Plus, if the mom knew about this and wasn't doing anythign its as much her fault as it is his. I would never let anyone touch my son.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I read that they had suspected child abuse before this incident. What the hell was she thinking? If I thought Allan was hurting the kids I would probably kill him, you know that. He's from Willow? I didn't know that. All the crazy people come from Willow, we all know that.

Personally there is nothing on this earth, that would be justice enough . The mother is just as responsible as he is , she suspected this, Jaycee's fathers parents asked repeatedly to take her, so things wouldn't be so hard, she turned them in to DSF , I guess if your mother works for DSF you can do whatever you want too. Can you imagine the mother's parents even knew this and did nothing.

If you live in this area, I suggest everyone in the community, ask that charges be filled agains mom as well, no nurse should be allowed to practice and care for others when she doesn't even care for her childern. If she didn't want to leave give Jaycee to someone else who will protect her

Will someone please tell me , why they are not proscueting the mothe of the child, have any charges been filed against her, she said that he had treated her rooughly once before and was on medicine for anger management, she suspected abuse, but didn't do anything or say anything, both of these people are nurses, do they still have license in the state of missouri?
Someone needs to make sure that the biological father get's custody of the two girls still with this woman

At this time charges have not been filed against the Mother of the child. This is unbelievable to me. You can find out more information on-line by going to www.KY3.com and watch the Video.

The system failed this child like many other before her. How many of our precious children will die before something is done?

This was an act of pure evil from a grown man and those that are trying to blame someone other that him, are really sick.

Everyone needs to speak out! Both should loose their licenses. DFS should explain why more wasn't done. It's rumored that the Mothers, Mother once worked for DSF. The step-fathers, father at one time worked for the Howell County Sheriff Office.

Why does it matter if her mom worked at DFS and her dad worked for the HCSD? We all know that they really don't do anything anyways. I myself have called DFS on one particular family 3 times and nothing has been done. Over and over again I see 2 children get hit, slapped, beat....I honestly don't think it's worth it to call them anymore.

I take offense that you think all the crazy people come from Willow. Seems to me like from watching the news and reading the papers that all towns near and far have their share of crazy people. Some of them are on this forum.

A friend of mine works in an AR office and said to always call the hotline # and the police and they have to check into it.

I'm from Willow and I know that most of this town is crazy. I don't care what anyone says. Like the people who shot and killed Travis, where they from??? WILLOW!!!!!!!!!!
This town is getting shittier and shittier, mostly because parents let their children do whatever they want and then they grown up and turn in to thieves, rapist, killers, and ever other kind of criminal. You can't sit there and tell you dont think Willow is screwed up. Seriously, especially when the police are more worried about drunk drivers than drugs. I know the cops "try" but honestly, how can they not know where every single drug house in willow is? Everyone else does!!
Another thing.... I'm not going to keep calling DFS if they're not worried about helping those kids. It's not my responsibility once I call them. I think it's really sad that DFS will take someones kids away for spanking but not for the parents doing drugs.

I do not believe that all people from Willow are any other people are crazy, crazy is a very bad word for people to use. Mental Illness is just like having cancer or heart disease. This Joe Frye is not mentally ill or crazy , he is just a evil person, whom has no respect for life, and should not be set free. Take offense if you would like about other comments. But , please know that it is true when people say that this man is evil and the mother should be charged, neither of these individuals should be allowed to have another child, nor have the right to be called a parent, yet Melody, Jaycee's biological parent is having another child, and states" that she would have no fear of him coming back into their home and caring for Jaycee's two siblings, she is more guility than he is , she allowed this to happen , left Jaycee alone with him on numerous occasions and is now testifying on his behalf.
As citizens of the USA, I urge everyone to write the West Plains Quill, call the DSF office in Jefferson City , call the office of the governor and the attroney general and let your feelings be known. An innocent precious little girl has died , someone needs to investigate DSF and get caseworkers who truly care about others, will this bring back Jaycee, know, however it might save the live of Crystal's neighbor.
Let's all put our fingers to work and call these office and speak out as Christians are suppose to stand up for this child that has been lost and save the life of another.
By crazy I didn't mean a mental illness. If I meant a mental illness I would have said it. I'm not the type of person to talk about someone with a mental illness. And by the way, this guy is too CRAZY!!!!!!!! Who does that? Crazy people do!!!

I'm from Willow also and have lived here many more years than you have even been alive. Just because three idiots killed Travis doesn't mean that everyone in Willow is crazy. Besides that.......let's keep that story in the forum that was started about it. I have been a hard working citizen of Willow Springs since I've been old enough to work. If we had more people willing to work for the betterment of the town and less people running their mouths about how terrible it is, it would be a better place to live. If people would get out and vote and get out and volunteer in the many organizations around town they could make Willow a better place.

This guy in West Plains should go to jail for the rest of his life if he killed that baby. I, for one, believe that he did it. Guess I wouldn't make a good member on the jury as my mind is made up already. I must agree with you about DFS. I have never understood how they operate. I realize that they are short handed and are dealt more cases than they should be but someone needs to be held accountable when these defenseless children are not protected.

Follow the news..........we're not the only town with problems. If we are all crazy, then every other town around must be full of crazies also.

First of all I didn't say everyone in this town was crazy but if you have lived here as long as you say you have (I've lived here all my life!!) you know that this town is turning to shit!!!!! You drive through town and all you see are these little punk ass kids who think they know everything!!!! I'm thinking you're too old to even know what goes on in this town.
BY THE WAY.........you should take your own advice on keeping the topic on what that crazy man from West Plains did and not on Willow. I can and will talk about whatever the hell I want to. I'm 21 years old and dont care for most of the people in this town and will tell them all that. GET OVER IT!!! IT'S MY OPINION!!!!
p.s. I do volunteer and I do vote.

At the risk of you not liking my comment, I must say that people who are mean hurt and kill childern, this guy is mean , he sits in court shows no remorse, smiles and laughs with the police officer, he is just in human and mean.

I do not know anyone from Willow, however this is not about Willow Springs, this is about Jaycee Hardin an 18 month whom died at the hands of a monster, who has two siblings still living with the woman whom calls herself a mother, yet she allowed this to happen, admitted she suspected it.

This is about being a child advocate and someone speaking out for this child , because she can't speak for herself, it's about a biological father who is trying to keep is life together at a very bad time and get his other two girls out of that home , before anything happens to them, it's about right and wrong, people who seen this and didn't report it , a minister who turned his head the other way, because this man came from a good christian family, it's about DSF not doing their job, most of all it's about justice being done. And if we don't speak up for Jaycee and her family, this man may be set free, he could possibly be out of jail in 10 years or less, do you want him anywhere near your childern or niece's or nephews or grandchildern, do you feel safe having this mother care for your family as a nurse, it's about putting both of these people away for the rest of their lives, and it's not going to happen unless people stand together and fight for this child.

I still think he's crazy....what kind of man does this???? Dont care where he's from or who he is. We all know that DFS doesn't do their job. I think we all think that the mother is somewhat responsible but honestly, what are they going to charge her with? I'm not sure if there is a law against what she did. I'm sure she will blame herself for the rest of her life (well that's what most people would consider punishment) however, if I knew my husband was abusing my children I wouldn't sit around and do nothing about it. If there is a way for the police to charge her I hope they do, she's just as crazy as he is. Well there's what I think. And the whole thing about Willow is..I know Deana and when she said she went to school with him I thought she meant Willow b/c that's where she went to school and it didn't suprise me that the guy was from Willow. you can get away with anything if you live in willow and know the right people.
