Not sure bout that place, Grammy is getting older and getting worse fast, options are being brought up in conversation lately. Any in sights? From what weve heard, they are pretty strict but yet Ive known some pretty trashy that have worked for them. Were afraid like any others that she wont be able to tell us if something happens and meeting with the director unfortunently isnt always the most efficient or effective way. Anybody have any useful opinions...?

I can only speak to what I have experienced there. As a kid I volunteered there and the people there were great. I have had family there and they were treated good. As for the staff, I have know lots of them over the years and the ones that stay on long term are good people. They may have some bad ones from time to time but they have a way of weeding themselves out. Good luck on a hard decision.

Check into some other places first. It is close to home but quality can be worth a short drive. I think theyll hire just about anybody who applies. Knew a convicted felon that use to work over there, makes you wonder about the background checks!

Willow Healthcare recently started doing extensive background checks on all potential new hires. Their goal is to now be the best in the industry. But please do your research to find the one that your family feels is best for your loved one. Any questions about Willow Healthcare can be answered at their main office in Willow Springs. I m sure they would also be more than glad to show you round or direct you to one of the other facilities in Mtn. View or West Plains.

willow Care is a great facility.. if you ck around the word is willow care is the best and they treat there patients and staff great. I too have had family memebers in there and was pleased with what they do and try to please the patient and family members.. they do have alot of patients so they do have to spread there time around with all the patients. the staff does take time for you and your needs. any issues can be talked out and worked out for what is better for the patient..this place being close to home is just wonderful. you can see your loved ones on a daily basis and keep up on there care if need be..you will not find a better place for your loved ones to be..

my mother is in the Alzeimer's unit at Willow Care and they took good care of her...however a hard truth to nursing homes is that sometimes they dont last as long as they would have at home...my mom was there 3 months and then passed away, my family saw her every saturday and Sunday and my dad went every night..., visit often and you are more likely to notice bad treatment...

I have personally been associated with Willow Nursing home. DO NOT SEND A LOVED ONE THERE! I have seen charge nurses abuse residents both verbally and physically. I have seen with my own eyes cna's leave people unchanged for at least 8 hours. I have seen them not do their rounds. A resident died a year ago because a nurse didn't put the bed alarm on and the resident fell out of bed and smothered to death. And the nursing home covered it up as a "bed alarm malfunction" and didn't even fire the employee. The director only cares about her mother in law that lives in the nursing home and does not deal much with the other residents. The nurses on night shift would rather set around and look at the newest gossip magazine than do rounds! That's just the begenning! DO NOT PUT A LOVED ONE IN THERE!

I have to wonder if you are so sure of all of these horrible accusations why you are not calling the authorities and alerting the media. My guess would be that you are a bitter, fired former employee. I hope for your sake and for the sake of the residents there that you are wrong.

Well the nurse director's mother-in-law passed away this week. So you can't hold your accusations against her about that!!

I bet that you are just a ex-employee that is unhappy about being fired.

When my relatives get to the point of having to be placed in a nursing home I would chose Willow Care. Knowing personally just who is taking care of my loved one not just one a co-worker level but a friend level as well.

I recomend Willow Care 100%

Translated, all this sh** you are trying to stir is hearsay, then? Willow Care is a fine establishment and one of the cleanest nursing homes I have ever been in. I admire the employees and their compassion for taking care of the elderly and disabled people that can no longer care for themselves. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks.

Which makes me wonder who u are. Would be nice to know the name that talks smack about her/his co-worker. That way I would know who we should watch our back around. Since you seem like a backstabber. I know which 2 people you are talking about which makes me narrow down who you are.
