I didn't know if anyone could answer my questions regarding Bill Easley and how he became city administrator of Willow Springs. I just read in the Howell County News that Bill Easley received a $15,000.00 pay increase to be city administator than the last city administrator we had. Does he have a college degree in accounting to run a city, and how can he be the town city administrator considering he was on the city counsel board. I thought this was conflict of interest. Also, I live within the city limits and our city utilities are OUTRAGIOUS! The working class citizens will eventually leave this town because there is no work and who can afford to pay the high utitility rates. I believe the increase was to help pay his increase in pay and for the damage the city has made from buying property they couldn't afford. Now everyone else is having to pay for it. I heard Bill Easley is married to a Ferguson sister, so he thinks he can do whatever he wants. Eventually the old retired shits will be dead, and the working class will be gone. How come their kids aren't living here? I don't believe Bill Easley is qualified for the position, and I also want to know if Susan Rackley, and Bill Myers who voted FOR the utility increase also live within the city so they can pay for high utilities as well.

Don't know, but these are all good questions. I think we need to look at the city's budget and stuff. And last time I checked the Ferguson's don't run this show. I'm so tired of people thinking that these old idiots run the show. Just because you have money doesn't make someone better than a lot of other people in this town. I think it is time to get some new people in town. And Bill Easley should not be making that much money. Really, what has he done to benefit this town. And the golf course should be closed down. If only certain people use it make them family's pay for it. The roads here in Willow need to be fixed. We need to tear down some of these old eye sores here in town. We need to get new businesses here in town and more so things for our younger kids to do. Really, we need change here in Willow and we need it now! We need to revamp the city council, we need to get a new police chief and just new people all around. It is time for change. I would like to know what Bill Easley does that makes him think he deserves all that money? Really, just what does his job description include?

Easley makes $55K per year and thats $55K per year more than he's worth....Yes Myers and Rackley live in the cty limits you idiot they couldn't be on the Council if they didn't....Over 25% of the population use the golf course you can't say that about any other public facility in town, yes it loses money but so does the water park and the parks department ( as they do in any town you wish to check on ) it's considered a service and a betterment of the community...A few years back our brilliant City Administrator Ron Mersch had a idea to raise $$ for the golf course allowing people to purchase 5 year and lifetime memberships at a discounted rate, that has hurt the cash flow for the golf course for a few years I think next year is the last on the 5 year plans so that extra $$ should start coming back in which will help alot

There is no reason to call me an idiot, I was just asking an honest question. If you remember back when Tony Sigman was City Administrator then you would know that he lived in Cabool for awhile while he served as City Administrator. So he didn't live within city limits, nor did he have a bachelors degree to be city administrator, which was one of the qualifications that was advertised in the paper to run. I'm not the idiot running this town.

You have to live within the area you represent if you are voted into a position. Tony was hired to a position not voted and the one before him lived outside the city also.

If people would really look into the city they would see that they few hard employees that work with their butts off get paid NOTHING..they cant even support a family on the wages that they are given, then they give the city admin a raise? What happend to the raises given to the WORKERS..not the guys who sit behind the desk but the true hard butt busting workers?

Hey, I know, let's get Steve Cropper to move back to Willow and run for city administrator. We've already got the billboard.

When exactly are they working? When they clean out the same ditches over and over and over, but ignore the huge potholes in that same road?

When they are SMOKING in the city vehicles, or, better yet - parked somewhere smoking, watching one of the others clean a ditch?(they wouldn't need a raise if they quit smoking!)

What about the city worker who was fired for not reading the meters, but 'guestimating readings' which ended up in a HUGE bill (ours increased by over $200) the next month for most people in town?

OH - what about the calling and asking for something to be fixed and the workers NOT doing it, and making excuses to the girls in the office about WHY they haven't gotten to it - weeks-months later?

Gena and Beverly are getting things back on track - Thank God for them.

I'm seriously thinking the budget that was approved is going to bankrupt many families, those just trying to get by, working their hardest, and living paycheck to paycheck.

Jill Bailey, Wendell's daughter. She's the one that put up the billboard and the Earl Shippley Park sign by the caboose. That should be enough explaination right there.

What about the electrice dept? All you speak of is the ditch diggers..they get paid what they deseve but what about the ones that come out when your power is out? Dont you think they work their butts off? I have yet to see them standing around smoking..watching others work. Yes when one is up in the air there is one on the ground but that is how all electric companies do..guys really think about what you are saying..you think its all in the office? I beg to differ!

I also must remind people of last winter's ice storm, Hurrican Ike... times when a large area of town was without power. Those guys were out in freezing weather, wet weather, whatever, working hard to get everyone turned back on.

As for the ditch diggers, not sure which ones you mean, but I've seen men in ditches getting soaked while a broken water main has water shooting in the air. Sure, maybe they are't busy constantly on their job, but are you? Do you have a job?

I'm sorry, but I do believe people are entitled to take a break once in a while. But if you see someone truely slacking, don't bash them here, do something, call the City or call your Alderman. That's what they make the "big bucks" for.
