What is going on over there? I like that new Polish funeral home that went up by the cemetary. Any news on other developments on Archer Avenue?

Looks like an Irish Pub is going into the location, they had carpenters in there this week. I would expect it to open in the next 6 weeks, in time for Spring. Look for an expanded kitchen with Irish food / beverages. It is about time!

I saw a sign at Bonnie's Billiards Club that they will be opening on Sunday's for lunch/dinner and non-members can also use the billiards club. More business needs to be drawn to the village

Irish Times or something like that I hear ?
Good - hope they sell $ 12 hamburgers to the motorcycle dopes roaring down Archer all spring/summer/fall. Willow Springs needs to find a way to make some money off that crowd

had anyone eaten at bonnies? what is the food like? what type / any good? price?

i hear the owner of the new frankie's is the former owner of irish times in brookfield. the name will be different though. it will be nice to have a decent place to bring people when they come visit me in willow springs. i enjoy a pint of guinness, so it works for me. is anyone else happy about it? i agree that WS needs the revenue.

Carl,Three weeks ago Jacque went two Iowa to take care of her sister who has cancer. She contacted meningites and went into a coma for two weeks. After two days they felt she was going to die since she had been seizing for several hours. One week ago she woke up and even the doctors said we wittnessed a miracle.were supposed to go home tomorrow and soon rehab will start. We often talk about the greatest tour we ever had thanks to you.I hope your feeling better and stronger.Anything is possible.I learned that. Mike

Looks like the place is coming along pretty good. New addition being built in the back and a nice deck built in the front.

They tore up most of the beer garden in the back so patrons can sit on Archer Avenue and listen and watch traffic go by?? Doesn't make any sense to me. If I want to do that I'll just buy an overpriced beer and sit outside on Archer at My Way Cafe.

None of the bars in Willow Springs have anything for you to do like beanbags or pool tables. I hope the owners of this new bar realize they need more than a few Gaelic signs, an Irish flag, fancy woodwork and stained glass to attract and RETAIN customers.

Good luck to them but they should have kept the beer garden in the back the way it was. They could have started a sand volleyball league with the court they had and the placed would have been packed with people. Bonfires were great back there too! I don't think WS police are going to allow bonfires on the new patio on Archer Avenue.

They are shooting for a July opening. It is the same owner as Irish Times in Brookfield and from what I understand a few other successful business's. Yay!
Willow Springs is such a cool little town.
Carl, I'm sorry to hear your not well, we enjoyed your company very much. I agree with many of the things you addressed regarding Rico D's. However, a small correction, The guy who came in a put the final nail in Rico D's coffin was Shane Meyers. It took less than a year to undo all the good things Rico D's had going for it. Google him, what a piece of work.
Best wishes to the new owners. Can't wait till you open!
