I have ached and ached over my sons situation and still have hope for him. I think he just chooses to live like this because he has NO rules at 21 and homeless since 18 hopefully he will get tired of it soon and pull up the boot straps. I have arrived to a place realizing it is his choice and I have to let him go. He was raised right and has seen DR.s to make sure it wasn't mental.

I also, believe some people just aren't cut for this "super mold" of "super consumerism" be a part of the rat race mentality! If he wants to fish and work his own land he should have that opp. But he doesn't because it seems this country cares more about the almighty dollar then human life.

Probably someone stealing and beating up elderly people was your son. Maybe he was so high on crystal meth, he killed the little girl next door. You make me sick.

Well being a mother myself, I can say that you have failed to raise your child to be a pro active member of society. As a parent, you job is to be an active role model for your child, and set a good example. The only part of your sob story I find sad is your willingness to enable these behaviors and excuse them. Oh yea, and the tax dollars bla bla bla. I'm sure you already know.

It is my job and I did a good one until Father and Mother went through a divorce is all I can say. Things got hard. How am I enabling these behaviors? He has been out of my home since he was 18. This is an act of love & disabling his behavior. Do you think it is easy to watch all your dreams for your child wither up into a pile of dung? Quite the assumptions too. He isn't on any aid or state funding. And I told him myself if he was to become an evil person such as the first post mentioned I could quite possibly be the first one to take him out of this world. Further, I didn't know homeless automaticlly ment a crack head... interesting... For which he is not. I was trying to say I finally don't feel quilty about his choices. He knows the right way. When his friends get tired of letting him live off them (stupid) maybe he will grow up and begin to change.

It's sad that this happened. The PG&E folks do a great job, esp during and after storms that disrupt power.

My comment went to the wrong place, I was commenting on the death of the PG&E worker.
