Could we grossly spend the Headwaters Fund any more? First HSU and now this. You suck, supervisors!

Will it pay for spy cameras in the new facility too? Can we watch remotely? Good use of the money!

This is just plain WRONG. While it is a very good project it is NOT a project that the headwaters fund should give money to. St. Joes is a multi billion dollar operation run by the Sisters of Orange. The HF ought to go to econ development of small businesses to make up for the demise of the logging industry.

I hope the grand jury looks into this and other misdeeds from this fund.

Don't expect a single citizen with enough courage to contradict the claims of the largest hospital in Humboldt county.

According to a UCLA study aired on KMUD recently, 40% of Humboldt County adults are in debt for health care. 2.2 million in debt statewide, 1.4 million of those are "insured"!!!

And now they want the Headwater's fund?

You've got to be kidding.

Excellent points, especially since managing a budget is such a foreign idea for administration level employees of S.J.'s! Then, they just wimper for hand-outs. Separation of Church and State?

The handouts St. Joseph asks for give our community donor fatigue for our local organizations that would like to get funds. Now they take Headwaters money? How dare you, supervisors. St. Jos hopes to one day be the only hospital, and then watch the local health care change.

St. Joe's admitted to me that they collude with other California hospitals to set prices! So we get to pay the same price for tests here that they pay in Hollywood, but our income is um, maybe a little bit lower. The real St. Joseph is rolling in his grave over what these crooks have done to his name.
