Explosion at Power Sub Station in Willoughby

Multiple fire departments are being called to a fire at a power substation in Willoughby.

I saw the smoke driving on Route 2 and as I got closer I saw the flames growing higher and higher. I heard a couple pops and then you could see more flames.

I just saw that fire! I live off of Lost Nation RD. The flames are very high and from where I was you could hear things popping. I hope that all the firefighters are alright.

We just lost power here in eastlake, by the high school. This sucks

We went and saw. More transformers are blowing by the minute. We still have power though in my part of town. Its very bad.

how to get a cat out tree 1 roll duct tape ,2x4 as need old blankets use put 2x4 together with tape length as need use 1 in mid to next 2 2x4 end to end rap in blankets place one against tree limb and walk away my cat just walks down the ramp 3606

If the electric company is at fault do they do anything to help their customers? A whole week without power will become an issue.

it will probably take months to make repairs to the substation, but i can guarantee the lights are gonna start coming back on for most of the effected area soon!!!

power is back on at my house 12 midnight.. only three hrs.. thank goodness it wasnt a week like some were saying..
