Wow! Couldn't anyone predict problems would occur when Engineer Dennis Flectner is an employee of CT Consultants and Councilman Michael Sullivan is an employee of Windham. With all of the back scratching going on there was bound to be conflict somewhere. Politics as usual.

It was duly noted that Councilman Michael Sullivan is a current employee of Dean Windham's, and therefore abstains from voting, but the article failed to point out that Councilman Hough and Councilman Bohaychyk are former employees of Dean Windham's as well. I find it absurbed that those that will cast an approval vote and gleefully screw the taxpayers of Hartville, are the same bunch that used to work for Windham, and nobody sees anything wrong with this picture? HELLO!!!!!

First you have personal differences among council members and the mayor, next you have conflict of interest with some council members, and finally you have an $850,000 settlement that the village electorate will have to pay. Does anyone care about the voters?

Noble homes is anything but noble...when will the people of hartville wake up, Dean Windham is going to ride off into the sunset with all the money he is making off of the people of hartville and uniontown area. He builds poorly constructed homes who I personal know and have watched numerous people in the Hartville area have to shell out money for windows and roofing issues because dean cuts corners any way he can to save a buck, even when it means putting out the poorest product available, which noble homes is becoming known for....... now to hear that he is cashing in after ripping off so many trusting people in the hartville area, he has ripped off the homeowners, contractors and business who he has refused to pay owed money too, many people, and now above all we will all have to contribute once again to Dean Windham and his greed, it makes me sick!

The current council did not create this lawsuit, they inherited it from the previous council, which included Bev Green and Bruce Klipec. Those who really want to know the FACTS should go to the Stark County Courthouse and read the WHOLE record.

You are so right!! I feel there should be an article written with interviews with the people that had Noble Homes build for them. Believe me, there are a lot of disgruntled customers. Do a search on the Stark Cty Clerks web site for some active cases. It will even go beyond there. He has no regard for anything except profit.

Sorry to burst your bubble "Let's make Dean Rich" and "Adam from Akron." Those were some pretty venomous diatribes from the two of you. I find it interesting that you neither one mention if you personally contracted with Noble Homes, just that you "know" people, and you "know" dissatisfied customers. It sounds more to me like you both have personal "axes to grind" with either Noble Homes or Mr. Windham, and what better way to do it than to slander them both in a forum where you don't have to sign your real full name.

Well, again, sorry to disappoint you, but here is the other side. My wife and I contracted and built a home with Noble Homes in the summer of 2005. Throughout the entire process we had nothing but positive experiences with everyone at Noble Homes. We found everyone that we dealt with to be courteous, trustworthy, understanding, straightforward, and found Mr. Windham to be an honest man of his word and a man with integrity.

We have been in our new home now for almost two years, and we absolutely LOVE it. It turned out to be everything we had envisioned, and more. And everyone that has visited our home has had the same opinion. They think our home is beautiful and they are impressed with the fine quality, attention to detail, and the overall craftsmanship that you don't find in most new homes these days. If I were ever to build again, I would certainly use Noble Homes again. But I have no intentions of ever leaving my new home, and I know that it is built to last. So as far as my own real, personal experience, I couldn't be happier, or more proud of MY home.

And finally, one last thought. I would be curious to know how much additional permanent annual property tax revenues have been generated for Hartvile by the developments, condos, and homes built by Noble Homes?

Dear Thrilled in Tallmadge
Is that you, Dean? Sure sounds like something you would say.
I've been watching this case for quite some time, and I do have a personal interest in it.
My question is, What would be wrong with interviewing past Noble Homes customers concerning their experiences? It would be enlightening for many people and those of you that THINK you have a "NOBLE HOME". Believe me, if you aren't on the building site every single hour of every construction day, you may be in for a surprise. And, it is not an axe to grind, it is just what is right.

How is it that you people think I worked for Windham? I have never worked for him and I only met him just prior to my election. Get your facts straight!

You asked for former customers of Dean Windham and Noble Homes. We built with Dean in 1996. Our home was beautiful! and the building process was a wonderful experience. We were treated like family. His foreman and crews were truely professional and craftsmen. We enjoyed our home for 5 years, and were very sad when we had to sell our home, after we had a job transfer to the tampa area. We have had experience with the home builders in the Tampa area and we were spoiled with Dean and his employees of Noble homes.. you want to see shoddy work move to tampa bay area.

DISAPPOINTED!! We built a home with Dean Windham/Noble Homes. The house turned out fine, but we had a few small home warranty issues that needed to be addressed. Some of the items were things that had been done wrong in the first place. We were assured they would come back and make them right. My husband and I made repeated attempts to contact Dean, and as of this date we are still waiting for a response. It appears that we have been cheated on the biggest purchase we have ever made. This teaches me to never release the last of the money owed to a builder until the job is done 100%. Very disappointed in Dean as a human being. We will never give him a recommendation to anyone we know.
