Review: Hokus Pokus Entertainment

Prices are outrageous, store is dank, damp and dirty, owners and sales associates frequently get into screaming matches with each other and customers, oh and the costumes are trashy and overpriced. Many of the bounces and other rentals are dangerously unmaintained - be careful as your children can get hurt on them! Oh and if you do dare go there, good luck finding a decent place to park - the owners don't care about the customers - they park their hearse and SUV's right in front and make customers park in a pothole filled dirt parking lot right off a busy intersection.

Undoubtably this person has no idea which business she went into. Maybe that is why she is called Ms Golddigger! She cannot tell what her real name is. Hokus Pokus is a family owned local business, and has been in business for 30 years. We have lots of lighting and great costumes for newborn to plus size adults! All of our rental costumes and equipment are cleaned and inspected on return, and by the way, the parking lot is not our responsibility, go speak to the tv repair shop!

My family and I have shopped at Hokus Pokus for years. I've always looked forward to Halloween and found that picking out my costume is often more fun than wearing it. Hokus Pokus has been a big part of that.

I did not lend much weight to 'Goldigger's' review because bad reviews happen. I do, however, hold 'Pardon' to a higher standard since it is evident he/she works there.'Pardon,' your response to 'Goldigger's' review was unprofessional in my eyes. It concerns me that if I did have a complaint about the service (however unanticipated) I wouldn't be taken seriously.

I think, this year, I'm going to choose to shop elsewhere...

I would like to state that Pardon's "review" is obviously from one of the owners and therefore biased. Perhaps instead of browsing the internet the owners should fix some of the problems with their store. The parking lot aside, the place smells of mildew, rot, and reeks of Body Odor. It's not well-lit, it's cramped, crowded, and you're as likely to slip and fall on a costume as you are to find one to purchase. Water-stains adorn the ceiling. The employees scramble around like mice trying to clean up the mess while the owners sit in the back room and yell at each other. Very professional. And about the parking lot, since so many of your customers *do* complain about it, perhaps *you* should go and speak to the TV repair shop, if you really care about your customers and your business.
