Well some of the people have given you some good advice cause I have done so with a prosecutor I was having issues with, try attorney generals office first cause In my case they gave a warning to the prosecutor to stop the bullcrap or they were getting involved and it worked,if that doesnt work file a bar complaint against the person.

I am a female being stalked by another female. No one takes this serious. I will call the AGO when I get up the nerve to tell my story again. Seems like I tell it, everyone agrees that it's terrible but when it comes to doing something about it, it's like, "Oh, sorry 'bout your luck". Like I said, if this was a husband or boyfriend, his a$$ would be in jail already. I mean, this woman has run me off the road - swerved from the other lane to hit me - but the attorney said that wasn't really a "threat". Oh come on!!

Oh that's funny. But not the case at all. I have done research on male/male and female/female stalking and it's more common than what you would think. Mental illness runs in her family. She gets fixated on things and her life spirals out of control. I have got this much information from other family members that know her. Now it concerns me even more since I know she is certifiable crazy. Who knows what she will do next! I can just lay low, talk to the AGO and hope the legal system does something about it. I'm fortunate that my employer allows me to work from home and/or come in at different times so I can mix up my routine enough. Again, no one should live like this.

Regarding "Amanda's Law", from what I can find online is that it protects woman from domestic violence issues. This is not my case. I also think Amanda's Law is hoping to provide some sort of electronic surveillance of the perpetrator (like an ankle monitor). I just don't feel victims are taken seriously in cases like this. I think I have plenty of proof but since everyone feels there is no "physical threat" then I should just get over it. Come on! Is running someone of the road not a threat? Is chasing me down the road driving like a maniac not a threat? Is following me into stores and businesses not a threat? How much more proof is needed? Am I going to have to be injured before someone listens? Geesh. I am even a middle-aged woman so it's not like this is some high school drama.

can I suggest that you keep a daily journal and log everything, dates, times, what happen, where you were etc. don't leave anything out! in other words who what when and where rules apply. Keep any evidence such as text, don't answer their calls let it go to your voice mail that way it is recorded. the obvious things. your stalker will slip up I just hope it's not to late for you! Please be safe! be hyper vigilent, always know your surroundings. Sadly the police won't do anything usually until after it's to late! Try not to go many places by yourself. those sort of things, and regardless of the law I would definitely be packin! I don't think I would go to laura donell, she is about as useless as the justice system. I would definitely go over her head straight to attorney generals office, because she is not gonna do anything for you. beings the police in this county and what ever other county will not help you, you might try contacting the state police and tell them the situation and tell them that the counties will not give you help and you fear for your well being. can't hurt anything is worth a try.

I have been following this thread for a while. Very interesting and very scary! If I may ask...what is this woman's beef with you? Do you own a weapon and if so are you licensed to carry? You can still carry a weapon without being licensed to do so, I believe as long as the weapon is in plain sight. You just never really know what motivates folks sometimes...be careful! Any luck with that restraining order?

Get an industrial size can of mace. If you are driving down the road and see her, be prepared. If she tries to run over you spray mace in her car. If her windows are up, spray it at the base of the windshield, the ventilation system will carry it in her car. :-)

Get you car equipped with some BAT smnoke and you can lose her ass in a second, or get some oil containers installed and you can oil down the road and she will go slip sliding away.:)

See, this is why I am so confused about it all myself. All other attorneys I have talked to has said this is harassment, pure and simple. I even tried to HIRE an attorney yet they can't file criminal charges - it must go through the County Attorney. I just can not see any other reason why he will not file charges other than what I stated in my first post -- her husband is an ex-police officer where the county attorney lives. This is the beef I have about the whole situation. If you break the law, you should be punished no matter who you are!! Bad thing is the ex-police officer even left on bad terms.

Have you followed any of the advice on here of contacting the Attorney Generals office ? You got to help yourself, try spending more time trying to help yourself than asking for help on a website like this.

Of course I am. I just wasn't for sure who to go to above the county attorney because city police, sheriff and even state police has told me to see county attny. I've seen him a couple of times and he just doesn't seem like he's going to do anything. It's been 3 weeks and he hasn't even got back in contact with me after leaving messages. I know he hopes I will just give up and go away, but I won't. I've never seen such an unprofessional and am really disappointed in our legal system.

I am taking the next step and going to the next level.

What have you done that this person is stalking you? I think there is more to the story than you are telling? You said she was married and her husband was an ex-policeman as well. Is this over a man? If you are gonna tell the story on here tell the entire story! There are two sides to every story, we are only hearing one side.:)

You want to know what's scary? Victims getting the blame. I have done nothing to this woman. She is crazy and mentally unstable. I was looking for some help and maybe hearing advice from those in similar circumstances. Her husband has left her numerous times because of her mental state but then is afraid for his kids. This is public knowledge. I am not the only person she has stalked - just the only one to try to do something about it and I am pissed off because our county attorney won't do anything! If it's because her husband is an ex-cop, then that's WRONG! If it's because she has mental problems, then she needs to get help!
