Chinese, personally, is disgusting and revolting. I prefer Japanese. Although, Wei Mei is a superb buffet if you are looking for something cheap and fairly good. However, I've heard the kitchen is a little bit unhealthy.

The Health Dept. decides whether the establishment is up to standards or not, and obviously it is or WAH MEI would be closed by now.And when you ask questions about someone, or an establishment on TOPIX!!! you are only trying to vent your frustrations about them.Everyone doesnt feel like you do.Some may of been dissatisfied at times, some may not think its clean enough etc but it passes inspection and its your choice to eat there or not.If you dont like it, Dont GO! They arent going to miss your money! The way they live, and how they pay for their medical bills is none of your concern. They pay taxes here in the USA.Probably more than YOU!!!They are a wonderful family. Each and everyone one of them.As far as "illegal" workers, Are you Immigration? Then let the ppl that work in each dept worry about that.Im pretty sure you have more to worry about in your life, like finding a place to meet your high standards of DINING & paying your net bill so you can bash ppl on Topix cos you cant handle life.LOL.YOU SUCK! No ONE in Harrodsburg Cares what you think and your FATASS will probably take out the damn buffet the next time your out there!Ha ha ha! Just make sure you leave some for the rest of us! Tee hee hee! And as far as the Jumbo Buffet, Wok n Go, and the other one next to radio shack...Wah Mei blows them out of the water anyday..at least they dont take your plates while your still eating from them!Hope you feel better about yourself soon so you can stop posting stupid shit about others to try to make yourself feel better! There might be meds to help you as well!Wtf are ppl thinking when they bash families like this sweet family? Seriously, Get a LIFE! AND ITS WAH MEI...gET IT RIGHT:)

I take it you arent "American" and you work and dont recieve a check or medical card.Well thats great for you but American, Chinese, African-American, Indian, Mexican, or otherwise some people at some time in their lives may be in need of the assistance. This post is about Wah Mei workers or owners.Whether they recieve assistance isnt anyones business and you are not one to judge Wah Mei or anyone for getting a "check".By the way your post doesnt make sense.I think I made out what you were trying to state but I would take all that money your making with your neck and your back and buy Rosetta Stone courses in English if your going to live here.

Congress is going to vote on the Dream Act next week.
Bet Obama gets it passed, You have to give up something to get Tax cuts to stay in place and unemployment to continue , might as well give your country to a bunch of illegals. What the hell is wrong with we the people ? where's the outrage? why aren't we in the streets? maybe it's too cold out there.

I will not go there again. Everytime I am in there it seems thier food is not kept fresh. There are always a spoon full of dish left and they just keep stirring it until someone eats it before bringing more out. Sometimes I go to the buffet and just scrap all those dishes into one and take to my table just to get them to bring out fresh replacements. I know they don't have a large customer base after all it is H-burg, but they need to refresh their dishes. They are nice people, but that has nothing to do with it.

Did you know that if you ask the owners of Wah Mei to cook you more of whatever is on the bar they will do so? Yes, so the next time your in just have them cook you more of whatever you want. They never have a problem doing this.Whenever things are running low they always are prompt to cook more.

Will never eat there again. I'm not going to be yelled at by the guy who doesn't speak English for him messing up my order. That's defiantly not how you run a business. Your lucky I didn't smack you up side your head for yelling at me for something you did.

I would point out that at the time the statement was written, Nov 3, 2008, it was not the same family.

i have eaten at this restaurant for most of my life - loved it when i was younger, when it first opened...even knew the family that owned it. i don't know if the same people own it but i have an experience to share.

in the summer of 2012, i went there with three other people. only 4 people in the restaurant were at my table. we all elected to eat the buffet...we got there about 4pm (dinner prices time), no one around, no food on the bar, really. when we paid our check, it was nearly $50, since we all drank soda -- but i will tell you that is the last $50 that they get from me or anyone with whom i go out to eat, which is a LOT of people...

now, on to the bad part, when we arrived, the door was propped open. it was about 85 or 90 degrees in the restaurant, perhaps the a/c was broken - i'm not really sure about that part.

we never once got refills and there were FLIES everywhere. i had to swat flies off of me and our table nearly the entire time we were there. since no one was in the restaurant, there was no food on the buffet really but they went to work refreshing what was empty and we began to eat. one of the two hot bars, the one opposite the soups, was not on or not working - the food that was on the bar was not hot at all. the food on the soup bar side was hot - we ate a few egg rolls and drank our soda, swatting flies away from our straws.

it was awful. if there were THAT many flies in there, they should have closed. i can only imagine how many flies were in the kitchen. eww.

i loved it before but i don't think i could ever eat there again.:((

The Chinese place in Frankfort across from Franklin Square is the best around. Far better than Harrods urg or Danville. Wah-Mei isn't that bad but there is more of a selection and hotter food at the Frankfort one. Well worth the short drive. It's very clean, nicely decorated and has an open pond with huge live catfish in it that kids really love.

Blantent racist views.. Check. Illiterate statement... Check. Off the wall comments not pertaining to the original poster's comment.. Check.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're an uneducated hick. Please turn off your "computin' machine" and never turn it back on... forever. Inb4 Obama is mentioned.
