let me tell you something sir they do work people to death at every event they can get and take their money as far as i am concerned they lie to people alot to. Is there or is there not a freedom of religion meaning that you have a right to go to what church or denomination you choose? Well not everyone in this wonderful world is baptist and thats all that they go to .. and further more i dont lie i know what iam talking about i know quite a few there and they feel the same way ...

there is good and bad in everything in this world there is not one thing that is all good except the lord himself,, as far as freeloaders they get foodstamps for everyone there and yes the men keep the place clean so how is that freeloading but they shouldnt have to go out and do this work and not get a dime of money either

"Hey There" this is my real name as well. As far as "events" go its an opportunity for me to pay my childsupport or A/E classes or Probation and parole or court fines and better yet I send some of that money home. I was there 8 months as well and in 8 months I didnt work on most weeks 8-12 hours at an event. There was a time during the spring and another in the fall where we worked 3 or 4 days 10 to 12 hours a day and we got paid $7.25 per hour. They took about half of that to cover my cost of the program and the rest went to me. Thats a fair deal and im not sure of what your problem is. And as far as freedom of religion thats the most stupid statment ive heard. They are all christian churches baptist or not(: Yes they sign us up for food stamps but they feed us well and we get that back in the form of great food. And some cannnot collect it becuase of the money they earn.I also know that it costs $2.50 per hour to stay there as Ive had this conversation with Mark himself. Grow up man. Im with Chris you must have walked off becuase youi couldnt stand the discipline or they asked you to leave. Either way I feel sorry for you slandering a place like this that has helped so many.

If the courts had of sent your asses to prison like you needed we wouldn't be listening to your garbage, you should have been working in the prison garden or making license plates, as far as religion you could of hung in the little prison clicks of religous believers you agree with.

i agree! id rather my tax money go to incarceration so i wouldnt have to read these gay whiney baby post about their stint in rehab. By the way "hey there" everyone with an addiction doesnt end up in the court system, some just work and handle their life without stealing.

My son went through Isaiah House! We had no money to pay. They helped him get his GED , and the work was able to help pay is way which was important after he nearly bankrupted us!
He had never worked before so they taught him to get up on time , do chores and work and pay his own way. He graduated and has been sober for 3 years now.He was 24 when he graduated and has also entered college. I dont know what your issues are "heythere" but sounds like your still a big baby and need to grow up. As far as church goes the church of christ includes all who believe in and on Him. If you make it you wont see any signs on the door.

I have been through the program twice and yes the first time I was the king of breaking the rules and yes I use to walk to the corner market to get cigarettes "with my own money" and did everything I could t break the rules and try to get away with it and most of the time I did but that was with the old staff that didn't care. When I entered for the second time I thought I could play the same games but little did I know but the staff they have now don't play those games. I'm glad that they don't cause it made me buckle down and focus on getting my life right. I finished the program and now own a very successful business. If it was not for mark and Tammy and the great program they have built then I don't know where I would be and as for the ones who are crying about the work and chores guess what that's part of life we all have to do it everyday in real life so grow up. To the ones that r talking about the guys out walking around all night I will tell u it cannot happen anymore I tried and not one staff memmber will allow it. As for the money part yeah u pay some to the house but they make sure our financial obligation on the outside r taking care of first then put money in our savings account. And when I left I had enough money to get things I needed to start my own construction business. Any other question. Just ask I can give u all the true facts.
