Thank you for starting this thread. I know it's just so frustrating when you play by the rules, work hard and you're treated with no respect. THe rich make all the rules,a upper and lower middle class that pays all the bills, The elderly that are poor and get nothing, and the others. Parasites that feed off government and produce nothing but trouble for the other 3 groups. ALl we can do is get up each day, go to work, stay busy, be productive and never give up. That's life and for what it's worth I'm going to be Happy and always hope tomorrow will be better. Hope is all we've got.

Vic ; Dear Lord ! So, you are saying that a persons supposedly " private " medical care & prescription info is just Out there for the taking or so ? Very disturbing. What is Big Pharma ? I've read that a few tonight on your post. I'm definetley checking into this .probaly be tmrw night b4 I can. You know , it kept getting thrown up tonight by " some body " that I didn't want to give my SS# becos I was receiving narcotic ha ! Never was the case. Thankfully, I only go maybe 2 or 3 times a yr to get medication. I'm in good health. Except for allergy & sinus problems which are aggravating . I don't understand some peoples Meanness . Thanks for info . Good evening.

pharmaceutical companies that make and develop drugs. its all done "wink""wink " legally. One thing is a consumer needs to understand what's going on/ JMO

I need to state its all perfectly legally. THese companies are doing nothing against the law. THeir reasoning is to insure lower prices and better customer care. I just want people to become better informed. THe information is all out there and one needs to read and research and form own opinions. CVS has served this coummunity for many years and provided a great place to shop and get RX's filled.JMO SO please don't panic info is not going out on the streets for everybody to read. It's all contained in our Health Care System.JMO I want to state again all these companys are working within the strict guidelines and are regulated.

Everyone, please make sure you spell everything perfectly and use correct punctuation.....or Joan will start trashing you. I've noticed how often she gets on here and says very nasty things about people!!! This post was actually not that bad, but check out some of her others!
Glad I could help, you're spelling and punctuation have improved a bit. Sorry it took so long, I had to with, a lot this week.

oh mr digger , How do you know there is a pain med called Lortab ? Just curios. For someone that never, ever took something you sure know the names. Lol !
I literally laughed out loud when I read this post. I'm not sure of your reasoning. I have heard of cocaine, meth, heroin, lortab, percocet, oxycontin, and many other drugs, but I can honestly say that I have never used any of these. If this is the logic you use, then you could just as easily say that if a person knows about murder, then he/she has committed the act....laughable.

I found some very informative sites about how public our medical and RX history really is? Guess what if ain't.
THe sites are: Privacy Rights Clearing House
Your Prescriptions and Your Privacy
Is Your Doctor on Big Pharma's
Payroll
Pro-Publica Journalism in the Public
Interest: Doctors for Dollars
After reading these sites it made me sick,I knew there was a huge problem with our system but goodness, it's horrific, Big Shocker on those that go to CVS to get their scripts..Our info is being sold and resold. It's all a vicious cycle that circles all heath care providers, insurers,Bigpharma. Surprise.
When did health-care become an all for profit BUSINESS.--There's no heath or care in any of it.JMO
So Vic, do us all a favor and post the links to all of those "websites" for us to take a look at.

i agree with you 100% i blame the drs. if they would do what they are surpose to do, which is random pill counts and urine test every month, then that would weed out the addicts. have been in pain treatment mgmt. for 10 years and not one pill count, and a urine test every 3-5 months.

It is a shame that all the abusive situations that happen always seems to come back and hurt the ones that have not abused the systems, because of the bad ones.

Could be because there could be people that have the same name and also the same birthday. How would a pharmacist know who the druggies are? Oh,just ask them, right.

I'm glad you found humor in a remark I had to dugger the other night . It was Never about drugs . It was about , well u know. It seems you are very knowledgeable in that peticular type of medicine. I'm so glad for ya. I wasn't talking about drugs. It was about a number . Very simple . But I'm glad you got a "chuckle " . I did too ! There's really no need in being rude to Vic. Thank goodness he helped to point out some things that need to be looked up . I am when I get a few min .

<quoted text>I stated my opinion, there's a long list of people and agencies who can access that information, including police officers. I don't know about you, but the caliber of some officers just in Mercer Co. would preclude me wanting ANY of them to have ANY access to my private medical records.
I agree with Joan. Why would you want any the city police officers especially the "Angry Forkerney" , having any info on you. I don't trust the stinking police dept. I use to but not anymore. Moseley can keep kissing their asses!

the only reason a pharmacy tech or pharmacist will ask for your social is if you're a new patient to them you bring a controlled substance prescription or you have had prescriptions filled but it's your first controlled. the computer won't let pharmacies fill a controlled substance until it has the patients ssn..so you all can quit trying to be hard asses and deal with it.
