Does anyone think that the fact they have their stock brought in by semi trucks is kind of misleading? Do they pay taxes?

It's all a scam. Everything they sell comes from Sams or gfs. I refuse to support them considering they want to use our public funded roads and pay no taxes. The Amish own the building. That's the only thing Amish about it.

They pay ALL taxes except Social Security. They don't pay Social Security because they aren't allowed to collect it at any time.
They also pay the same school taxes you pay, but their children attend their own privately funded schools.

You obviously don't know much about the Amish. With Amish the church owns everything. Every dollar made goes through the church. The church is a non profit organization therefore tax exempt.

So I suppose telling you that I was Amish, and am now Mennonite, won't matter, since I don't know anything about myself or my family.
We're not a commune. I think you're thinking of Shakers.
