The big house that sets next to Green Acres is beautiful. It's owned by a kindly old German gentleman, who loves meat pies. We took him a meat pie last year and he let us take all the pictures we wanted. They turned out beautiful and one was even featured in a local magazine. Here are some recipes in case you've never made one. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/meat-pie/

Better ask Chris Horn. He hasn't paid his taxes. Also better ask the Bank. It's in Foreclosure

Also better ask his wife because they are divorced and he is mean and crazy. Also the place is falling down.

My daughter had her wedding and the reception at Fort Harrod... the wedding was on the steps leading up to the Fort entrance and the reception was in the building beside the fort. They didn't charge her for the wedding and the building for the reception was really a decent price...

First of all, congratulations!

There are some beautiful spots on Herrington Lake, and I'll bet one of the marinas would be glad to work with you on pricing. I attended a wedding there that was very elegant.

You could also check with some of the local photographers to get location ideas.

Good luck!

SHAKERTOWN????????

Why would anyone want to get married at Shakertown? Those people did not believe in sex, having children, or marriage. Men and women lived apart.

Married in a place like that, with that history. Insane.

It is located on Hwy 68 going to Lexington BEFORE the cliffs. You can't see it from the road. You will have to look it up on Facebook.
