Hahahaha, you all make me laugh, you hardly ever hear of more than one or maybe two, breaking in a house, and my point was if you have a shotgun or whatever and point it at a criminal, most likely he or she is gonna run and i mean run quick, now in an instant where the criminal wants to challenge someone, have a good ole dirty harry 44-magnum on stand by most of you would be shaking in your booties when a break in occurs anyway, and you wouldn,t have time to load and fire that ar-15,or your little 22-cal,ak-47 look alike.unless you have already loaded and within arms reach, most likely if a criminal wants to kill you or any one else, they will do it while you are asleep and unaware of him in your presence.now that is my opinion and i,ll stand by it,if you want to keep that assault rifle you better start taking a stand, join the nra if you aren,t already a member,go to washington and maybe even the capital tell your lawmakers, represenetives, and the president how you feel and you will not stand for your rights being trampled on,that gun laws will not stop you and you will buy or keep what you want when you want it,and if another moron decides it,s time to kill more innocent children with an assault type rifle you will know you helped keep your rights and his to keep and bear arms,so the nut could kill more and not have your rights stepped on.i for one have no use for an assault type rifle,i can have more fun shooting a single shot 22-cal. Than i can a high powered rifle, and small varmint hunt with it and not go broke buying ammo.
More children die due to drunk drivers every year than by assault rifles. Should we ban alchohol....

I don't quake at all ! It's my right to own an AR just like its ur right to own that shotgun ! I'm no survivalist or nut job either ! I just like to shoot AR's and find them a damn fine weapon ! If that guy had used a shotgun would u be giving up yours ? I don't think so ! I'm a law abiding citizen and I've never had nothing more than a speeding ticket so in the words of the great Ted Nugent " Leave Us The Hell Alone " !!!!!!
Your right indeed. You would rather have your AR than try to take this country away from the death that guns like this bring. Nuts like you are so self centered that you would put the safety of millions of people above your own selfish desire. Get over it. The second ammendment gives us the right to own guns, but the government has the right and the obligation to keep automatic weapons and large magazines out of circulation.

Sure they do, and the drunk driver is taken off the road when he is caught and let him kill someone and it is murder.

Do you have the guts to register your guns and be responsible for them? My family is in as much danger from gun nuts that want to keep assualt rifles in the hands of the public than they are from people who would break into our homes.

And as far as veterans go,no one but the vets, know whats went on in some of the wars, assault rifle play a big part in a war, soldiers need these type rifle,s to fight our wars with,we don,t,now everybody knows we live in a perfect world, haha,i do believe in the right to protect yourself and i will but,i don,t feel you need an assault rifle that fires 30,or more rounds a good ole double barrel will do a good job,and i don,t have to worry about aiming so good, especially when i am half asleep or barely awake, some one breeaks in my door just point it at them and fire away.
You make more sense than all of these gun nuts. I have a shot gun. I can protect my family with it. I don't need an assualt rifle or large magazines, and neither do these nuts. The bigger the gun that they have the bigger gun that the criminal will have. As you say, the army needs assualt rifles, we do not.

That sounds like a bart response. A person would be stupid to assume
that a criminal is going to act alone, but I guess it's par for the course with this crowd):
I'm an honest guy that lives by the golden rule. I don't have one of these big bad rifles, but I will stand up for a law abiding citizens right to own one.

When you take the emotion out of this whole thing, you guys have no real argument.

no, they don't want anyone infringing on their rights to get drunk.

There are many deaths caused by texting and driving, but Lord help us if we wanted to ban cell phones.

You sound like the fool that stole the kid off the school bus in Alabama. If ARs are banned and if it becomes unlawful to own one, they may come, and big boy, you can't do a thing about it.

No real argument, indeed. Try this. Big Bad rifles can kill a lot of people in a short time. Try this. Why does the military arm it's soldiers with automatic weapons? Why not issue box cutters, or give each soldier a car and a quart of whiskey. What it comes down to is that the gun nuts are so selfish that they are willing to let these deadly guns be sold so that they can have theirs.
And what about these fools who dare the police to come and get their ARs. Talk about a little man with a big ego and a small brain.

I will say it again ! No local police will enforce a federal law infringing on our constitutional rights ! Hey Tits like I said there are walkers and talkers in this world and when u mess with a walker u will find out what we mean when we say no one will get our weapons ! I mean no one ! All it will take is a spark to ignite us all ! We are tired of y'all tryin to take our rights away ! Leave Us The Hell Alone !

Your rights. You keep harping about your rights. Do the research, the supreme court has ruled that the government HAS THE RIGHT TO BAN CERTAIN GUNS AND AMO. I say again: The fool in Alabama thought himself to be a walker. He stole a child and retreated to his undergournd bunker and dared the government to do anything about it. The FBI took care of him and now he is stone cold dead. You say it only takes a spark to ignite us all? Who are us all? Gun nuts like you? Like the old fool in Alabama, the "us all" crowd will have about as mucn influence as a whif of flatulance in a wind storm.

The 22 rifle kills more people a year than the ar.

If you are on topix talkin bout wanting anyone to come get your guns, then yes you are a fool. Dun't judge the vast majority of gun owners by a few ignorant people on topix

The military arms itself with the best weapons because they want to win, with as few casualties as possible of their own.
your argument is lame

AR are the topic. AR can kill more people faster. Imagine the Sandy Hook killer going with a 22. He would have killed, but he would have been stopped before he killed 26 people. That is the question here. Do we need weapons that will kill in mass. I say that we don't. People have talked about taking ARs away. That will probably not happen unless the owner somehow draws attention to himself. The danger is that a proud owner will not lock up his gun and a relative or intruder will steal it and kill. The law,if passed, will only apply when guns are sold. Keep your gun secure and nobody is comming after you. Let someone use it to kill and the law will be down your throat.

You do know they make an AR in a .22 right ? It would have been just as lethal to those kids . Or how bout a shotgun ? It would have killed and harmed more with one shell than one AR bullet ! How bout a .22 lever action fully loaded ? How bout a car with a full tank of fuel ? Anything could have been used on those kids and been just as lethal ! So get the fuc$ oughtta here with ur BS ! Nobody gives a damn what you want ! Ur prob a purse packin pillow biter anyway !

Then why didn't he use any of those things? I keep hearing a bunch of nonsense about baseball bats. Why didn't James Holmes take a baseball bat to the theater? I mean they're supposed to be so deadly, right?

As for your little fantasy about police refusing to enforce the law, read up on the aftermath of Brown v Board of Education and see how that worked out. Study lesson: Constitutional Nullification http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nullification_ (U.S._Constitution)

Oh and get pulled over with a sawed-off shotgun in Harrodsburg and see what happens. Be sure to tell the officer that it's an unconstitutional law.
