Could it be that the men are just not as qualified?!?
That ain't it. Here is what happened. About 20 years ago Frankford changed education. Schools had to have something called the site committee. These committees had to be made up of the principal, 2 or 3 teachers and a couple of parents. This committee hires all the teachers and the principal. They also decide how to spend the money that comes from the board of education. Since there are more women teachers than men there are more women on these committees. A bunch of women on the committee turns around and hires a woman to be principal. Since the principal is hired by the committee, she has to be careful and not make the teachers mad or they will run her off. That is why there is only one guy principal in Mercer County and Burgin. From the seventh grade on, especially high school, a strong man principal is needed. I know he cannot whip their butts now, but he sure can do more with the kids, especially boys than a woman principal.
