My husband saw the accident seconds after it happened & said that the car was traveling at a very high rate of speed (his guess was 110 mph). The car had almost hit him and another truck when the car passed on the right shoulder approximately 30 seconds before the accident. I was on the phone with him when the car passed & as the accident happened. He was one of the first at the scene and was there before the paramedics & authorities arrived. He is very torn up by what he saw and is haunted because the car had just passed him seconds before. We are praying for her family.

She was already far ahead of my husband when the accident occurred but he could see that she switched into the left lane & then back to the right. He said that it appeared that she had lost control while going around other cars. My husband was going about 75 mph & passing another truck in the right lane when a car that looked like an Impala came behind them & had to pass in the right hand shoulder because there wasn't enough room for her to get by at the speed she was traveling. He said that he actually thought that she was going at the very least 110 mph.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I guess we may never know why she was traveling so fast. While I'm thankful that my husband wasn't hurt, we are still very sad for your friend.:(

It was a total shock to everyone who knew the victim and the family. It will be alot harder to not know any answers as to why she was driving at that speed. We will truly miss you and you will always be in our hearts. R.I.P. "nana"

Has their been an obituary in the newspaper? I have been looking but I haven't seen anything in the Houston Chron that looks like it it could be her.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Have you tried to get an accident report from the Sheriff's Dept or Police Dept? It may answer some of your questions.
