I think the new homes should be put in Willimantic, because that is where all the booze, drugs etc. are located. Moreover, the social survices are growing at a rapid rate.
Keep Mansfield clean and white. please

Terrible comment from you. We have people in shelters here from Mansfield. We have people that come to our bars and buy they're drugs here but there is a shortage of people from Mansfield in recovery. Maybe because they THINK they are so high and mighty and don't have a problem...when in reality Mansfieldites have an overdose of ego...What they have is egoism.

At least willimantic cares enough to help people in recovery and also to help give homless people a warm place to stay at night. what does mansfield do? But then again i wont put down the town of mansfield because of some idiot response from someone who has no clue.

To the person who thinks everyone buys there drugs in willimantic boy are you that stupid? Every town in ct. has drug dealers in it yes even mansfield. But at least willimantic is trying to do something about it. They offer recovery and have aa and na meetings to try to help people more towns need to do the same for there people and not think they are more superior when in fact they are not helping the problem with drug problems because it is everywhere like it or not!

Just what Windham needs. The majority of the homeless in Windham are not residents, they are people paroled into halfway houses or others seeking help from the vast amount of social services. This will just be another burden on the few people who actually work and pay taxes in Windham. Windham needs to wake up and put a stop to all of the enablers that provide food, shelter and medical care to a bunch of drug addicts and criminals. It is one thing to go through a hard time in life and utilize services, however it is another to refuse to change your lifestyle and be an absolute burden on society. It would be nice to see an article saying a new restaurant was coming to main Street, but don't hold your breath. Hopefully with the new leadership in Windham things will change, but again don't to be too hopefully, they still have that clown in Hartford who has had a strong hold on Windham politics forever.
