hi guys . I had to smile when I saw Dave Meacham posting a comment. You'll not remember me , but I can still see you in your originals , giving it large in the music room whilst listening to Led Zeppelin ?! I was unceremoniously kicked out of the school for getting half the dorm drunk after raiding the assembly hall and finishing off copious amounts of alcohol. Happy days.. As for the abuse and bullying. Very unfortunate , but life is what you make it.. Lazy days by the river and cross country in the rain. Boys were boys back then.. Ps. All those years in Cov.. Make that move to Cornwall ?! Adios guys. Great blog ..

I too remember bonfire nights and also remember that everyones fireworks were pooled together to make it fair for all. I also remember at the Christmas party, the teachers would serve the kids, a once a year ritual. Just to remind everyone, I was trhere from 58 on (D56). Great days. Would love to see any photos of that time if anybody has any.
Did you have a nick name Puck, because you were always asking for a light, I was in Dudley too

Time moves on so fast in the winter of 2015 had news my youngest brother Stephen fell sick with cancer, came back to England hadn't been back in 10 years lots of change every where didn't see much of Coventry that I remembered stayed out in Kersley at the Royal Court, it was ok just a little dingy. in short it was good to spend a couple of weeks together as a family. Came back in July to bury him decided to bring his ashes here to Canada since we all live here now. was a tough time but I did go back to the school when I was there in july, lots of memories flooding back Good and Bad, strange to see moose there LOL we have the real thing here in the Great White North, the staff looked a little taken back that I knew so much about what there trying to promote, we have a saying here you can take the man out of the North but you cant take the North out of the man, guess that's why I moved back to Canada when I was 19. good luck everyone I did enjoy my time at the school, it set me in good standing to come back to the land of my birth and make my life and family here. To Dave Mecham hope you made it to Crnwall, to Harry AKA Paul Doyle take care and enjoy the country Side in Lincolnshire you deserve it buddy, not sure if I will be back there again but I will always have a soft spot for Cleobury and the School. Cheers to All.
