My name is Anna Moore and I have lived in Willingboro since July 1996. I have two children. One, quote normal and then there's my special baby Michael. On August 21, 2007 my husband walked out of our lives and has not been seen since. As i attempted to file a missing person's report at the WIllinboro police department I encounterd my first obstacle. I was told that it is not unusual to have someone dissapear nowadays. I told them it is when the missing person has not contacted his boss or kids. Finally after convicing idiot number onethe information is then entered into something called NCIS and was then given the name of the detective who will handle my missing husband's case(that would be idiot number 2).
I was told that he works the night shift but to leave a message and he will contact me. I was also told that this person was very thorough!!!!. So, three o'clock comes and goes then four o'clock comes and goes and so does five o'clock. Finally I decided to place a call at 6PM and EUREKA!!!! he answers the phone. I explained who I am and gave my story and what I have found out so far. He informs me that he received the information and that I should sit back and relax and that he would do the rest. Meanwhile I am gathering information from different sources and calling the detective with these updates and he keeps reassuring me that he will handle it. In the meantime another day passes and we hear nothing from my husband nor Mr. Willingboro detective of the Year so I decide to give him a call and ask him to call certain companies in order to have access to telephone number and checking account information. He takes the info and tells me he cannot use it because it will be and invasion on my missing husband's privacy(and this is Willingboro's finest). Feeling like I've reached a dead end I decide to take matters in my own hand by driving around areas where I thought he would be including hospitals, motels(we have been married 14years)but to no avail. Finnally on Monday Mr. DOY(detective of the year) informs me that he recieved some information over the weekend as to my missing husband but he could not divolge that information...can you believe that. So, let me get this straight you call me to notify me that you received some information but because os something called privacy laws and can't find out if my husband was a victim of foul play or if he is dead or alive...It is so good to know that Willingboro puts priority on life right after property protection. So here I am sitting here at 1:00 in the morning hoping that someone would read my pain and try to help me find my missing diabetic husband..If anyone out there cares please voice your opinion. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Parents!!! There is an inclusion team at Hawthorne Elementary School and they are in need of help! If you have a child going into 4th grade, PLEASE get over there and demand that those two teachers NOT be separated! These two teachers have worked together for 7 years in the district. They are absolutely phenominal! They are a MODEL of what an Inclusion team should be! For no apparent reason, they have been split apart. If you truly want what's best for your child, don't let this happen! Go to the board...raise hell! This is just one more example of Administration out of control with no concern for the children! Please parents! My child was in the class of these two teachers and they made an incredible difference in his life!

I know that these 2 teachers spent this entire summer developing Websites for their students, aquiring resources for their students, going to workshops, etc. They truly care about their students! I have had the opportunity to observe these two in action. They are amazing! They go above and beyond what is expected of them. They were just told today that they are being separated! These teachers have come to my home to help me set up a work station for my child. Also, to give me suggestions on how to help my child succeed. Their efforts have paid off. They still keep in touch and will always be there for me and my child. They are like this with all their students and parents! It is a disgrace that this team, who have done so much for so many years, and who are so good at what they do, are being split up! Something has got to be done! Maybe call the person in charge of Special Education.

That's awful. I know precisely what the authorities are thinking: that here's a guy who got fed up with married life and ran off, so no big deal. But it IS a big deal! It is a REALLY big deal that there is a wife and two children without their husband and father. And if there is foul play involved, then it's a big deal that they gather evidence as soon as possible to find the culprits.

The least the detective could have done is let you know whether your husband is safe or not. I would be going crazy! You should maybe try contacting someone above the detective? Or better yet, go down to the building, make yourself be heard.

I hope you find something out soon, and I hope your husband is safe.

anna, i'm so sorry to hear about your situation, but having been a police dispatcher for many years, i hear it all too often. many times we get calls from a frantic spouse reporting the other isn't home and its abnormal - and they are infact passed out on a friends floor too drunk to know where they are and forgot to mention they were going out after work!!! the 'normal' amount of time before police will file a missing person report is 24-hrs for an adult - immediately for a child. however, in your situation, with your husband being a diabetic, he falls into a category known as 'missing endangered' since he does not have his necessary life-sustaining medications with him, and it is entered immediately. he should have been entered into ncic as such, as well as all of his information (identifiers, vehicle info, frequented establishments, etc) sent out to atleast the tri-state area. nj also has a system known as 'trak' which is a computer network that broadcasts flyers of missing/wanted persons, stolen property, and even general information. if you have access to the accounts, you can also call the companies directly to find out if there has been any activity on them, rather than waiting to hear from the police. there is no excuse why you are getting the run-around from the department... if you're not satisfied with the response you are receiving go to the supervisor or contact iab (internal affairs bureau) and make a complaint. if you have no luck there, you can also contact nj state police missing persons unit at division hq in ewing, nj... the number is in the phone book. i wish you luck and i hope this helps you a bit.

Hello Anna, my name is Sharon and I am in the process of filing complaints with the internal affairs as well as all local and state agencies against the Willingboro Police Department. Over the recent months, the willingboro township have been on a rampage harassing people, making false arrest, illegal searches. And as long as we as the people continue to allow this to happen, it will. Something has to be said and done right now. The willingboro police department think they are above the law.

...report to Internal Affairs in Willingboro ? Hah...dont waste your time..I was threatend by a Willingboro cop who cut me off driving once..tried to report it..and all I got was The Big Blue Wall...I went back after the initial contact because no one wver contacted me and the Lieutenant says...well..your facts as you tell me right now are VERY close to your written compiant..you may actually be telling the truth ! Went and waited another month...nothing. Willingboro Police are the most inept force in Burlington County by a long shot. Im so glad to be out of that town and all the endless crime that goes on there.
