My children attends WES, the level of attention and education my children receive from WES is amazing this small school takes the care and responsibility of educating my child and excedes my expectations. As for homeschooling children I do not understand it my children have grown and became there own people thanks to ALL of the WES faculty and staff. I would not want to deprive my child that chance because of my own selfish reasons. I am close to all of WES staff and there is not one of them that I do not appreciate and would do anything for just for the simple reason that when I send my children to school they are safe, loved, and educated like no other child gets to experince the small hometown school with an education that can send them anywhere in life. Everynight before I go to sleep I say a prayer for the teachers, cook, coustodians, substitues and secratary, and I would like to thank them for the time and effort they put forward for my children

I think you got to the main point when you said you wouldn't want to deprive your children because of your selfish reasons. I think that is the problem many parents have with the school. They selfishly want a better deal for their kids and aren't considering other kids. When their kids are treated fairly and they, the parents, are asked to obey school rules, they selfishly lash out at the school on here and write ridiculous comments. It's arrogance combined with selfishness. Williamsville does have a lot to offer. It is a good school with the ability to give individual attention as a larger school cannot. Kids get to interact with others, too, which they wouldn't get if they were home-schooled. And most, not all, but most so-called home-schooled kids don't get any schooling at all. They just stay home because of some lazy or selfish parent's desire.

I completely agree with Proud Parent and happy. Most kids who are home schooled are usually spoiled brats and have no social skills. They don't know how to play with other kids and think the world revolves around them.
I guess I just don't understand why someone so involved in the Williamsville community would bad mouth the school. They told me they home school their kids and would never let them attend WES. And whatever may have a good point, maybe they sent them to WES and they just couldn't behave and had no other choice than to home school or move.

I think anyone who is raised here would want their kids to attend WES. I think I know who you are talking about Parent and they are not from here. IMO, it's hypocritical for someone to say they support the community but won't send their kids to WES and talks bad about the school. We are fortunate to still have an elementary school here in Williamsville and I think it's a great school. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else. I feel sorry for their kids.

Evidently not everyone in our community feels that way. It's one thing to home school your kids, but it's another to speak badly of a school your kids have never attended. Whoever is doing this is two-faced. I will find out who saying this about our little school that we love.
