I have stopped at several gas stations that do not stop when you let go of the handle. We should be surprised?

I don't understand when gas is 10-25 cents more within a ten miles range (rural area). Isn't this price gouging? A lot of "grand standing" on Capital Hill these days.

If i remember correctly the %@#$ing gas stations are allowed to base their price on the average income of families around them. I could be wrong on that but i remember reading that somewhere years ago.

PRICE GOUGING IS TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE; OBVIOUSLY! The really sad thing is...it's never going to stop, and the gas prices will never go down.

Can someone call for me and tell them that all the gas stations are gouging. Isn't it cheaper to make Diesel? Prices are going to keep going up until everyone gets off their butts and do something about. Maybe complain to your congressman, not by e-mail, sit down and write a letter, make a hundred copies and send it a hundred times.

Why not post the stations guilty of this fraud so we can avoid going there? Hang their "rights" - this is out and out robbery.

Yes, I've been to various places where it keeps running for a short bit after the gas has stopped pumping. Meijer is known for this. I'm not bad-mouthing the store, but I've seen it at least twice at different stations.

What I don't like is paying at the pump and then having to go into the station to retrieve the receipt, What are they too lazy to put a new roll in the pump? I don't do this because I think it's a forced way to get you inside to shop even more. I just go home write a hand receipt for my records.

Just Me said,"The really sad thing is...it's never going to stop, and the gas prices will never go down."

That is true. The price will continue to rise and we will continue to have to pay the price or find another method of travel. Exxon and the other oil companies will continue to have record profits at our expense until the time we simply cannot pay any longer.

We need to take responsibility for this for ourselves. The government isn't going to do anything. Democratic or Republican makes no difference: they are all controlled by big business and big oil in particular.

Conserve fuel, lighten your car, truck, etc. Drive less, walk more. Carpool. Ride a bike. Whatever... we have to do it 'cause "they" won't

hello all-
It's called supply and demand. Remember the past 10-15 years companies moved productions and jobs overseas to places like India and China? We created a new middle class of folks overseas and they are able to buy cars instead of riding bikes. China is building refineries and thousand miles of new highways. As a result, oil is going to the growing markets such as India and Chnia in addition to the existing markets.
The world is getting flatter each day.

I know this is true.

My tank was just below the 1/4 tank mark and the Speedway on 36th and Burlingame sold me 10 gallons. Then two weeks later, my tank was below the E, and another station sold me just over 10 gallons.

That's a huge discrepancy there.

Don't Buy Gas At Grand Haven Meijer
I purchased 1 Gallon last week and put it into my Go-Kart
just before i brought it in for repair
My repair guy drained the gas because it wouldn't stay running.
When He Drained it into a 1 gallon jug there was about 1 inch of water in the bottom
$4.00 a gallon and 10% of it is water
