Do you think a high-speed train service along the East Coast from the Boston to the Miami area would make economic good sense? Would you use such a service for your trips into the South?

Or a high-speed service from New York to San Francisco/LA?

What does this have to do with Williamson? Does this proposed high-speed train service make a stop in Williamson?

It could possibly benefit the hundreds of thousands of people living on or near the Northeast corridor between Maine and Florida. Many people don't want to drive long distances or even fly if it can be avoided. And like it or not, we cannot continue our dependency on the fossil fuels Americans use like water. We have to get more people used to the idea of mass transportation.

Since there are no plans at all for a high-speed train service, its too early to start thinking about where it will stop. I'd guess the service would follow existing railway lines closer to the Atlantic Ocean.

Mr undecided [aka mingo man] aka[ridge runner], once again you have shown your lack of knowledge. You should at the very least google a subject before posting.

I wonder if this will be an eyesore in your opinion, oh wait it will be nowhere close to mingo county or wv for that matter so maybe you wont be able to see it.
An Eyesore Or Not

How is a lack of knowledge shown by asking for opinions on a high-speed train service? Are you muddled today or is it a permanent brain condition?

And yes, I have used the names Mingo Man and Ridge Runner but stopped because several people started using those names themselves. You can always ask me something if you like. I don't lie on purpose but somethings are not any of your business and either I won't answer or will remind you to MYOB.

Since I haven't seen any plans for such a service or exactly where/how it would be built; I really don't know one way or another if it would be an eyesore no matter where its located. I've seen and rode the high-speed rail service from London to Paris and it didn't appear to me as an eyesore. It was a fast, clean, efficient, and relaxing way to spend the time on a longer trip. Perhaps you'll get an opportunity to ride it youself one day.

"Since there are no plans at all for a high-speed train service, its too early to start thinking about where it will stop. I'd guess the service would follow existing railway lines closer to the Atlantic Ocean."

That is a quote from your posting on 12-30-12, as you will see from the links provided, plans are indeed in place. In fact 10.1 billion dollars has already been allocated.
I am not the "muddled" one, but i do wonder about you. Why would i ask you anything, you appear to have an agenda to push

"I don't lie on purpose but somethings are not any of your business and either I won't answer or will remind you to MYOB."

I have no clue what this statement means, i never said you lied i said you were lacking knowledge of the subject matter. The "myob" statement is asinine, considering you asked for opinions

You are right and I am wrong. There does appear to be plans for a high-speed railway in several parts of the country. But, it still doesn't affect my orginal question. Does it make economic sense?

And as for the rest of my comments, you are also right. You have no clue. They are plainly written. So if you want to know if I have an "agenda", ask me and avoid the need to guess about my motives.

You did show me up on the plans for the railway issue and you did it well.
