Would like to start by saying what a tragedy this was and offer condolences to the York family for their loss. This post is not a vendetta post against Josh Miller or his family, nor does this have anything to do with who was drinking, who was driving, or who left the scene.
This post is to raise questions involving the circuit judge, prosecutor, and their actions during and after the trial.
Question 1, Why was Circuit Jude Mike Thornsbury sitting and hearing a case against a defendent who along with his parents gave thousands of dollars to the last campaign that he ran.
Question 2. Why did the circuit judge not disclose such contributions since they could possibly be seen as posing a conflict?
Question 3. Why did Michael Sparks allow the young man from the tax dept to continue to set on a jury when it is his job to spot possible conflict as such. It is beyond belief that such a thing was missed by everyone concerned.
Question4. Why did the circuit judge after overturning a decision on a case he possibly shouldn't have been setting on take the opportunity to political grandstand by demonizing officers and a sheriffs dept who did nothing but their job.
These are questions that shouldn't have to be addressed but in mingo county it's par for the course.

The juror from the tax department did not continue to sit on the case. He was thrown off the case, after he revealed to them where he worked and replaced by an alternate juror. This young man was totally innocent. This was used for the outcome which took place.
He has also been portrayed in the media as if he was the guilty party. Oh and also I might add that he is an ex-employee of the tax office. So what does that tell you? Need I say more. Also he had no part in the decision making of the verdict in the Miller case.

You also raise a valid question, why is Jarod Fletcher responding to a automobile accident when he is not qualified or certified to do so? But you could ask why is he currently being allowed to take part in theses drug investigations and raids? People he is not a police officer, someone of his ilk should not be allowed to be associated with the work of real, trained police officers. He is a liability and at the very least smacks of unprofessionalism by the leaders of the task force.

Mingo/Pike Counties is the armpit of the country! I moved away and its the best thing that ever happened to me. It is and will always be one the worst places to ever live in. Everyone who works at the courthouse/county thinks that they are above the law. It is because, the residents let it happen. If enough people would stand against all the crooks then something may get done.

This is the point! People are not paying attention to what's going on, if they would open there eyes they would understand why this county always suffers and lags woefully behind. While a few profit!!!!

Actually, with such a negative attitude you did Mingo/Pike Counties a service by moving away.

Well, Paul Jr is Mr Fletcher's cousin!

Jarrod was first on the scene .... Hmmmm!

Wonder if the Judge has any of these people on his Facebook? Really, if someone is on the Judge's FB account and he hears a case against someone on his FB are they getting off?

I don't think these people in high places need a FB account. People need to speak up and have the Judge threw off their case.

I don't have him on mine. BUT! If i were in trouble, I'd make sure him, the PA and the Sheriff didn't have anyone on their FB account that didn't like me.

True. People need to stand up against him on drug raids.

Yes, he does drink and drive a county vehicle. I can't believe the high Sheriff would let him in on these raids. I know williamson P.D. laughs at him. Well, some of them do.

I just wonder if it's legal?

My ex husband got off on something he was guilty for, at the Williamson County Courthouse. His dad was in politics at the time and even though he did what he did, in front of a whole slew of witnesses, he still got off scot-free.
I wish I knew I'd hate him as bad as I do now, I'd have sang a different tune on the witness stand. His dad said not to worry, it would all go AWAY and he was right, it did.
Never seen anything like it in my life. It's good for the guilty, but bad for the victims.

Just like the questions that were posed to start this thread, people need to start paying attention and asking questions! People need to know who is connected, who are business partners, how many unethical decisions and favors are done! This is not a joke or paranoia. How many people knew that the millers had contributed significantly to the circuit judges last election campaign! And he then sets on a trial involving their son.
