Officer sets mark with 60 DUI busts

There can be few more sobering experiences for drunken drivers than being stopped by Officer Scott Mounger.

It is very good to seee a article about a dedicated officer in this city understanding the root cause of a lot of the problems in East End. I know tis has been a problem in that area for a very long time and a portion of the problem leading to bigger crimes. Also my hat is tipped to the Daily Press for publishing the article to display a very deserving fine Newport News Police Officer. There are several fine officers in Newport News who have gone unnoticed and their accomplishments. Articles like this one is very positive to this community and I'd love to see more similar that displays a care for our great city.

So is someone trying to say this cop has civil judgements against him fo rnot paying his debts? If that be the case, his supervisors should counsel and advise him to pay those debts. Even in civil court, it is an order of the court that you are suppose to abide by. So if you owe debts, Mr. Officer, pay them. Obey the laws civil and criminal before you get on that high horse and try to enforce them on others. You are to be held to a higher standard simply by the virtue of your position as a cop. Get it????
